Today I gave 24.741 BSV ($500) to two smart respectful Kids that are getting married, a gift-for the wedding, I told them, that this will get all your kids through University, and a nice vacation for both of you,
Then they asked who the F is CSW?

What I do have a problem with is the government preventing BSV exchanges from existing and we should direct our anger at the state if that is in fact the case.

Where did you get your information about the BSV 51% attacks?

The white paper describes P2P electronic cash. SegWit and Lightning deviate from that model.

Not dumb at all! It’s a lot to wrap our heads around. Answer is it’s both. So an app builder has the wallet-toolbox code (aka wallet) just like the user does. It’s maybe more like a keychain than a wallet though. Because your cryptographic identity (identities) can do simple handshakes, message signings, encryption of data, etc. And you use a new key generated with your counterparty (that’s BRC 42/43) for every single operation or payment. Those payments are effectively (by design) firewalled from your identity key/keys as per how Satoshi described it in the whitepaper

ahhh ok I understand

so is it the wallets themselves that implement the brc100 protocol or the apps themselves or both?

sorry im asking really dumb questions just wanna make sure I fully understand what it is behind the scenes as opposed to just knowing what it means I wanna understand why and how it does it

But I still consider BRC 100 experimental. We are early days but also time seems to be going so quickly so who knows!

They would not have to, the old ways don’t have to go away. It’s just that BRC 100 is a smarter way to do everything.

but it would mean eveey wallet or app currently would have to upgrade their protocol?

ahhh I see. so an app doesnt have to be built for a certain wallet with this? so this one protocol can effectively connect different bsv apps with having to import a json or seed phrase on a new wallet etc?

I’m working on it! It’s really about interoperability. You probably know that, but everything is organized around that principle. Without it, each app would become its own wallet, with its seed, custody, identity and funds management.

HandCash has an SDK that got us part way there but it was all wired in to HandCash so every application was against their api. And now (as you know) HandCash is moving into that brc100 world.

I’m designing a bootcamp for it. I’ve done some videos on the primitives. For example I showed how you can have an app log into you with just your key in one vid. That is a core piece of brc100 for any interaction between user and app.
