I was bracing myself for not getting the grant. It was well written and I honestly thought it stood a chance, except for my CV. I had forgotten to include a big part of my art career, which was running my soap business for nearly a decade. Because it was a "Business" and i had a partner, i hadn't been considering that it was my creative baby. This was my art that we sold!...
So after I redid the CV, I also reworked the application into a better grant proposal (that pays me more and even budgets the hiring of an illustrator woot!!) and realised that I was secretly hoping that I DIDN'T get accepted for the grant I was waiting on.
So now that I've found out that I didn'd get that one, I'm finishing off the details of the one that hopefully will get me work in the new year. Wish me luck!!
