ARCHITECTURE v2: Forth-first boot chain
- Layer 0: Forth controller (microcontroller first, GreenArrays GA144 later).
Text-only console, no mouse or graphics. Controls power sequencing, network
port relays, kill switch, and serial commands to the other machines.
- Layer 1: Dedicated firewall box (OpenWrt/pfSense/OpenBSD), powered by Layer 0,
enforcing a strict allow-list.
- Layer 2: Conventional OS machines (minimal Linux, optionally Plan 9/9front)
that start only when Layer 0 releases them, booting to a kiosk with
Metanet Desktop and Treechat.
- Layer 3: Babbage "genius AI" via the wallet/API layer.
- Layer 4: Expansion, one allow-listed service at a time.
Known limits: GA144 has volatile memory and needs a loader step, has no
network stack, and cannot run a browser, TLS, or a wallet UI.
