Living in a world where shelter, food, entertainment and belonging are delivered by industry ( which sees humans as consumers to prey upon) makes altruism difficult right? How can you simultaneously service a mortgage or rent into eternity, and also extend your altruism to its limits? Industry dependent consumerism forces you to prioritise individual needs over the needs of humanity, with the shelter bill the lynchpin.
