The Counterpoint Manifesto
Most of the internet is built to make you angry. Outrage keeps you scrolling, and somewhere along the way we stopped asking whether we were actually right.
Counterpoint exists to ask that question.

We take the other side, on purpose. An idea you've never seen properly challenged is one you don't really own. Here every claim faces its strongest opposition. If it survives, it's stronger. If not, we've learned something.

We reward thinking, not noise. On Treechat, a tip is a deliberate act of value, from one person to another, with no advertiser or algorithm in between. Tip a good counterargument, and you vote for a better conversation.

We invite you to flip it. Every week, Flip It hands you a claim and challenges you to write its best counterargument. The only reward is the argument itself and the tips it earns.

We ask one thing: argue in good faith. Attack ideas, never people. Change your mind when the evidence demands it. And when someone flips your argument better than you made it, tip them.

The point is not to win.
The point is to think.
