The minting times are mostly scheduled to suit American citizens, which disadvantages people in other parts of the world who are asleep at those hours. To make things fairer, the mintings should be held at random times so everyone globally gets an equal chance to participate.
Hopefully this will be implemented when there are little to no issues anymore with minting.
