Valid point. If it starts really low, like 1 cent a pixel or less, I'm not sure I would consider it a cash grab. You could even set a max ceiling on price per pixel at something reasonable so it doesn't go full ponzi. There are probably many ways to tweak incentives. I still think it's a cool experiment.
