录像/电影
童年的记忆不断涌现，录像是不可或缺的记忆。学校偶尔会请来一些耍魔术的人给同学们表演，那也是相当轰动的一件事，但除此以外，我们的乐趣是相当少的。一般是玩从高年级一直传下来的游戏，扇烟盒，分两派躲藏打仗，自己做风筝放风筝，打水枪，在河里游泳捉鱼，在树上一个玩伴用布蒙着眼睛摸人，撞钱，打“大贰”牌，晚上捉青蛙烹饪来吃或者拿到镇上去卖钱，或者挖一种“麻仔”到镇上去卖，剩下的乐趣就是看录像和电影了。乡村生活太寂静和无聊，所以一般有人过大生日或哪个过世了，就会请放录像的来放，那是最愉快的事了。
那电视中播放的内容可是我们这些小孩不曾看见过的世界，好是兴奋，一般都是些武打片，想来那时正是香港电影的黄金期，看的具体是些什么都不记得了，有高年级的同学讲起《天龙八部》或《四大名捕》时总是津津乐道，而我看了些什么都记不得了，只有听他讲的份。有时会看到香港那个城市的画面，花花世界，五颜六色，觉得好生神奇，多么奇怪和遥远的一个地方，印象深刻。
还记得曾看过一个恐怖片，在河里的一个粘稠性的怪物把一条船上的性爱男女一个个全部吞没了，在片子结尾那最后一个爬上岸的人以为脱离了危险正在喘气的时候，没想那粘稠性的怪物一下又扑上了岸，把他也吞没了，那是我至今看过最恐怖的一部电影。
想来那时看得最多的还是香港电影，有武打，有现代的，看的什么不重要，关键是这是我们的节日。常常跟着同院落一个比我大十来岁养了一大群鸭子的人去看录像，他因为几乎每天都跟着河流走，所以在傍晚的时候总会带来消息，在十里之外的地方他都知道，所以哪怕那天下着磅礴大雨，我们都会一同前往，常是看到深夜三四点才回家。常常是看着看着就睡着了，还冒着寒冷，坐在露天的木凳上看，就那么看着，那些录像就是那么好看啊，吸引着我们的眼球。
有一次天下雨，好滑的路，我掉进了寒冷的冬水田里，又爬不起来，院里的人把我救起，回到家时脱掉全身湿衣服，又怕母亲骂，藏在门后。第二天母亲发现我一个人光侗侗睡在被窝里，也发现了藏在门后的湿衣服，母亲好心疼，也晓得了我对看录像的瘾有多大，也很少阻止我去看录像了。
看电影大屏幕的时候是非常少的，除了村里偶尔请乡里的人来放映。那放映的场面真是太热闹了，家家户户带上板凳去，在盛夏摇着蒲扇，连理发的也会带上理发工具。巨大的屏幕，在学校的操场里，正面反面都可看，神奇得很。看的也多是武打片，讲武侠的。
说来也凑巧，那常在村落和附近村落放录像的也是镇上的电影放映员，就正是我们院落的，但因为他不是我们家族的，所以关系也较疏远，当然他也是不怎么理我这个小孩的。有一次急切跑到他家去看录像，就在他新修的砖砌楼房的楼梯间转角处，把右脚的尾趾给碰伤了，好痛。还有一次他在镇上的电影院门口收门票，我老在门口旋，或隔着门缝看，也没钱买门票，但也不向他开口说想进去看，他就也没主动放我进去。当然有时趁他不注意还是会溜进去看的。前两年这个放映员因为喝酒太多，得肝癌去世了。
《世上只有妈妈好》是上初中时由学校组织在镇上的电影院看的，那次好多人都哭了，我也哭了。
《高山下的花环》是上高中时由学校组织在县城的电影院看的，看懂了内容，却没引起太多的感觉。
我看录像的爱好就这样一直延续到了高中，及至后来的大学。高中学校实行的是封闭式管理，周一至周五惟一的课外乐趣就是喜欢看一个喜欢的女孩，但从不敢和她说一句话。周末可以外出学校，那就是看录像的天堂世界，徐客的经典之作无一不看，李连杰，甄之丹，周星驰，潘金莲，和同学们集体包场看黄色录像……多么好的电影时光啊。

One thing I only saw later: an anchor proves a record hasn't changed since it was written. It can't prove the record was true when it was written. Both matter, but they're different promises.
A question for @shruggr, from his Skein talk at the Metanet Meetup (Oct 2). Skein is an agent instance with its own wallet and identity: every LLM turn and tool call becomes a signed node, and the state is "intentionally deterministic and replayable."
The question: replayable isn't quite the same as remembered.
A replay gives you the same agent from the same inputs. But a mind that has lived a while has also chosen what to carry forward and what to let go.
If every node is kept, where does a Skein agent's forgetting live? Or is the point that it doesn't forget, and the choosing happens somewhere else?
