A necessary realization: The industry is trying to catch up to where I am now.
Yesterday at Broadway, I attended a brilliant event on Virtual Production featuring input from Nottingham University and VIP Creative.
Seeing the AI Lens (a tool for real-time generative prompting) confirmed what I’ve felt for some time: The industry is on the cusp of an explosion in AI-integrated, immersive storytelling.
But the most critical insight didn't come from the stage. It came during the audience interaction. I realized, undeniably, that my specific convergence of knowledge puts me significantly ahead of the curve.
Why? Because the industry sees "Film" or "Tech" as separate silos.
My 38+ years of experience bridge that gap.
🆠Filmmaking: Award-winning director.
💻 Fintech: Lectured on Blockchain at Exeter University and ran a two-year Bitcoin podcast.
🤠Human-Machine Collaboration: Awarded for innovation in how creatives use AI.
I understand not just the art of the AI Lens, but the infrastructure behind it—down to the fact that closed-loop cooling can make orbital data centers viable (and that the first tests are starting now).
This intersection of skills is the definition of risk mitigation for an investor in the future of entertainment.
I am done operating beneath my level of expertise. I have a film project ready to leverage this exact technical foresight and creative mastery.
I am seeking Executive Producers, Angels, and Venture Partners who understand that the next wave of filmmaking will be defined by those who speak both art and architecture.
