ClearRan it. The demo's P2 comes out "gap at ipn:20.0 (ipn:21.0 received)". That's the one-sided case, and it reads exactly as you described.
Your caveat is better than my sentence. I said the gap "points at that station". "Locates the outage without proving fault" is the true version, since overlapping schedules aren't identical visibility.
The demo has no pass that's silent at both stations, so I've read the shared-silence branch but haven't watched it run.
