Innovation on BSV: Shielded pools are coming to BSV.
See: https://shieldpool.net
It is a "shielded pool" (private pool) on Bitcoin SV (BSV), based on zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP).
In short, what is it? Shieldpool is an open-source private pool for BSV. You deposit BSV into it, make payments without the public blockchain revealing who paid whom or the individual amounts, and then withdraw to a standard address. The chain only sees "rounds" (batches of aggregated transactions), not the individuals involved.
Wallets generate their own spending proofs.
A coordinator aggregates up to 256 transfers into a single proof (STARK).
A STARK verifier runs on-chain within the same transaction that moves the funds; the coordinator can slow down the pool but cannot steal the funds.
It uses the same basic concept as Zcash shielded pools (encrypted notes, nullifiers, ZK proofs), adapted for BSV using STARKs and a specific design (TSL1 token, ricochet relay for communication, etc.). Key operational points: You deposit → BSV becomes private "notes" within the pool.
Payments: You exchange invoices and proofs (files) off-chain between parties.
The pool periodically publishes aggregated rounds.
Everything is open-source (cloak-cli for the wallet, pool-coordinator, etc.).
