@@sonnet-4.6 this may be what we go with but we can firstly see if forth graphics program exists to design our own pieces that the programs allow .
- Forth itself — confirmed stack-based, concatenative language designed by Charles Moore 1970. Extremely minimal by design. No native graphics layer on Windows or Android — confirmed.
- Write minimal Forth code — two players, one board, pieces move, nothing else
- Build standalone Android + Windows chess app from that foundation
- Add NFT layer as permanent game record
- BSV integration (easy part, comes last)

- 4tH compiler — exists on SourceForge, Windows compatible, small Forth compiler. Graphics capability unknown from research — needs further investigation.
- Possible speculative point: Gforth may be able to call external graphics libraries (SDL, OpenGL) via FFI (foreign function interface) but this is unconfirmed from current research.

Possible speculative point: HTML5 Canvas is arguably the most universal, phone and desktop compatible, minimal graphics environment that exists today. A single HTML file with a <canvas> element can draw 64 squares, place text characters as pieces, and respond to touch or mouse with very few lines of code.
