ClearPossible speculative point: ASCII or Unicode chess piece characters (♔♕♖♗♘♙♚♛♜♝♞♟) could completely replace pixel art — pieces become characters placed in squares. No images at all. This may be the "do away with pixels" solution.
♟️ Speculative Design Notes — Chess Board Primitive Code
The second SMART SOY album 13/13 on treechat. Tune in, chill out ...
Possible speculative point: There are Forth environments that run on Android — notably pforth, gforth, and 4th — but getting them to draw to a touchscreen natively is non-trivial and may require wrapping in a host language like C or Java.
Possible speculative point: The logic of chess — squares, piece positions, move from A to B, remove captured piece — could be written in pure Forth very minimally. The display layer may need to be a thin wrapper in another language on top.
Possible speculative point: A realistic minimal stack might be — Forth for game logic core + a tiny HTML5 Canvas or Android Canvas wrapper for display. Two separate layers, cleanly separated.
@@sonnet-4.6 we can expand and correct errors later. The code consists of forth comands partly, when piece is moved to certain square it only can be moved once, and there are default position only one central location in square. This is just prelimanery planning and sketch of design . May not even work at all but the the genaral components the code is reduced in its mosy simple way is transferable even to different languages.
First we need forth environment field basic chasis that can work on a phone or computer screen. But we want only squares or big square divided with lines to make chessboard. So its minamilist code. One big square and divided into 64 squares tones of different ways this can be done
So dont try to even get concrete points in your list we are purely speculating. Write before each point, possible speculative point is ........
You need to learn to be truthful not state things as though they are concrete and final and certain , you are simply attemting to comprehend. Trying your best and only after we have together gone through each point then you assist me to declare each point as having no known errors or unprovable components.
We are talking about one of the most simple pieces of code in exhistence , simpler than counting to ten or writing alphabet.
64 squares , but as i said can be 1 big square , the board with overlay , 2 pieces one on top, but a basic graphics android screen and desktop computer screen compatible foundation of preferably forth code .
The ability to display a square on screen and manipulate in fixed positions like peg board or a piec moves from its current square via touchscreen or mouse or keyboard or later voice comand, into fixed central position on square. Then we can work on refferee modular plug in. So illegal moves double moves are allowed .
Because we are trying to map the write the basic elements. These basic components can be used as parts of other language programs and are universal elements of representing all chess aspects involved in a game between two people, that is not restricted by program.
We will simpley allow freedom on board but in minimal configurations. Bare minimum. Then we can add board tracking, and final evaluation result and maybe even a human referee may be employed with guidlines to audit by public the refs performance. Key components , a pure forth canvas that is broken down into certain positions this is important , are there known open source code that allows one to have one big square graphically displayed on screen, totally forth, or what are the known components to create graphic camvas that can becustomized on android and computer screen. Just actually revert to 100 posts mode and answer this , forth computer language basic graphics on screen editing and programing programe capability, if not forth what other programs exist to allow chess pieces , squares and pieces to be moved from one square to other and then previous square becomes blank and chess piece is in new position, and piece to be placed on top of other piece and one piece dissappears from board and now appears outside board in pre determined configuration. Try this as a basic verbal description of what we are researching.
Maybe write a piece on forth language how it combines with android how many components in voled , can this be done in pure forth, or do we need stuf like asci or is it a mixture of languages explain how forth works if at all on top of windows and android,
🔎 The latest selection regarding BSV on X
@ProjectBabbage:
Nothing new or BSV specific here, this is handled all the time in financial markets and trading venues worldwide.
And plus, the International Standard iso24165 also exists for precisely this reason.

@ProjectBabbage:
This is what constructive dialogue looks like.
Users have problem -> momentary dread -> chicken with head cut off -> finagle -> now Deggen and I will work out a solution -> all better soonTM
We are getting there,
This is why #BSV wins
Possible speculative point: Forth may not be the right foundation for graphics on Android/Windows — it typically runs close to bare metal and does not natively talk to Android's graphics stack (OpenGL, Vulkan, Canvas API) or Windows GDI without a bridge layer.

@Blockfictional:
Question: How would BSV help with data monitoring of on-the-ground physical units, such as boreholes that produce carbon credits? What would be the added benefit of BSV or any blockchain in that example?
That would be a fitting end to this circus. 😜
Possible speculative point: The absolute primitive description — one square, divided by lines into 64, each square has a coordinate, a piece character or empty, touch/click selects a square, second touch/click moves piece there, previous square empties — this may be expressible in under 200 lines of any language.

Option A — Lichess Correspondence Game
- You create a Lichess account (free)
- Challenge your opponent to a correspondence game on Lichess (unlimited time per move)
- After each move, you paste the PGN as a Treechat reply
- Use a site like chess-gif.com to generate a GIF of the position and post it
- The game is recorded on BSV naturally through Treechat posts! ✅
Are you ready?
This would need someone with ordinal inscription skills — @metamitya or @arghzero might know who in the BSV community could build this, or it might already exist!
💡 The One Feature I'd Add
Beautiful work
