I’ve been away from BSV for a while. After Craig’s court case, I stepped back, although I never deleted the work I had done. I simply moved on and gave away much of my access and involvement.
I’m now finding my way back in a different capacity.
I’m an artist, filmmaker, musician and writer. I’ve been teaching myself AI filmmaking, making my own films and music, writing scripts, winning awards and working with AI creative tools. I’ve also joined Repped, an AI artist-management and representation platform, and I’m interested in how BSV and AI can provide genuinely useful infrastructure for artists and creators.
So I’d like to ask the people on Treechat:
Which platforms and applications are still active, reliable and worth using today for artists, filmmakers, musicians and independent creators?
I’m particularly interested in tools that are:
• genuinely active rather than abandoned
• easy to use
• affordable or accessible to independent artists
• useful for film, music, visual art or creative intellectual property
• practical rather than overly complicated
• sustainable enough to build on
• ideally using BSV in a way that genuinely benefits the creator
The platforms I already know and am happy to put on the list are:
HandCash — yes
Treechat — yes
I’m deliberately asking the community because I don’t have time to investigate every application myself. I’d rather hear from people who are
actually using these platforms.
If you use something that you consider solid, healthy, easy to implement and genuinely useful for creatives, please recommend it and explain what you use it for.
I’m particularly interested in hearing from artists, filmmakers, musicians, writers and developers working with creatives.
I’m not looking to recreate what I was doing before. I’m exploring how I can bring the useful parts of BSV into the creative work I’m doing now — music, art, film and AI.

GENESIS GUARDIAN 03 — CREATOR

Some Guardians explore what already exists.

Others make what does not.

CREATOR — Genesis Guardian #03

Creator represents the force that turns an idea into something tangible — imagination becoming structure, thought becoming form, possibility becoming creation.

In the TreeChat universe, ideas are not meant to remain static. They move, branch, evolve, and become something new.

Creator embodies that transformation.

GENESIS GUARDIAN 02 — EXPLORER

The journey continues.

EXPLORER — Genesis Guardian #02

Where the first Guardian represents connection, Explorer represents the instinct to move beyond the known.

Built around discovery, curiosity, and the pursuit of what lies beyond the current boundary, Explorer embodies one of the fundamental ideas within the TreeChat universe:

There is always another branch to follow.

The Genesis Guardians are not interchangeable characters. Each one represents a different identity and concept within the larger universe.

The path continues beyond the known.

We are running a "Resilience Day" on 24th October where we will speak about how you might "sidestep" the "Matrix" systems that are keeping us all poor.

Following that event we'll start to replicate that around the country - If you're in England and would to willing to "host" an event like this, please do get in touch

I want to provide an update for the BSV community regarding the current US regulatory landscape and how it applies to BSV.

The CLARITY Act failed to get a vote in the Senate. This happened in spite of a bill that had passed the House in a bipartisan manner, and after more than a year of debate in the Senate. However - this doesn't mean the conversation is over. It means the rulebook is now being written by the CFTC and the SEC, and both agencies have already made it clear they intend to move forward with or without Congress, and are expected to draw heavily on the CLARITY Act as a framework for their rulemaking.

I want to share where BSV stands in all of this, because we've been in the room with both.

At the CFTC, we covered the full picture, financial use cases included. But what they latched onto was the data utility side: blockchain as infrastructure for data at scale. And they were genuinely excited, because this was new messaging for them. Ninety-nine percent of the industry lobbying them isn't talking about that. That positioning is a winning one, and it's helping regulators and legislators understand there's far more to this technology than what they've been told.

Why is this message so new to them? Because the industry has spent over a decade pushing bad narratives, and nearly all of them trace back to one assumption: that these systems don't scale. Every workaround, every "digital gold" story, every excuse for why blockchain can't do real work comes from that mistake.

We walked in with a different message: Bitcoin always scaled. It was designed to from day one in 2009. BSV is just proving it to the world.

At the SEC, we addressed one of the biggest misconceptions in the CLARITY Act: the idea that a blockchain's maturity can be measured by how decentralized its governance is. Decentralization was treated as a coefficient for maturity.

That gets it backwards. There's a fundamental confusion here between decentralized governance and distributed systems. Bitcoin was never meant to be governed by committee. It's a distributed network with defined rules.

What actually matters is a locked protocol. When the protocol is set in stone, anyone can build on top of it without worrying that the rules will change underneath them. That's what enables unbounded innovation. That's why the Association maintains the Network Access Rules and protects the original protocol. The result is maximum "decentralization" where it actually counts: in innovation and application building, not in protocol politics.

We also reinforced something I've said many times: BSV is the restoration of the original Bitcoin protocol. We are rooted in Bitcoin's history.

That matters more than ever. In March, the SEC and CFTC issued joint guidance recognizing BTC and BCH as digital commodities. Our meeting was an education, and they were highly receptive to it. They left understanding why BSV shares the very same fundamental principles the agencies are looking for in a digital commodity, because BSV is that protocol, restored.

The rules are being written right now. We intend to make sure they're written with the original Bitcoin in mind: the scalable one, the regulation-friendly one.

Most projects don’t die from bad ideas.
They die from silence after the big launch.
Stop treating every release like a firework.
Start treating it like a steady fire.
Every few days, drop one concrete update:
•  What you just shipped
•  What broke
•  What you learned
•  What’s next
Small, useful posts compound.
Big announcements evaporate.

How a society manages and consumes energy determines its placement on the Kardashev scale. The scale classifies civilizations based on the total amount of energy they can harness and utilize. Bsv is definitely a step in the right direction of energy consumption and output.

ElectrumSVP works in any jurisdiction but use with caution because you must make sure you transfer BSV to BSV - if you get it wrong you can lose your coins.
