the judge: "being DrWright's cousin you're not obliged to talk to the court and give evidence, since you are I will remind you... you are obliged to tell the truth... telling everything you know, not concealing anything... you must state if you are uncertain or if you don't remember....

it's a punishable offence to lie to the court"

DrWright's attorney: what kind of family you were born into?
Max: One of service/technology
DrWA: By service you mean military?
"Yes both military and civic service... down 4 generations to me.... we feel that we should do the right thing, and have stepped up protect when it's called upon to try and help protect democracy and protect people who cannot protect themselves.
On the technology side that really started with my grandfather and so he had been into signals and codebreaking, cryptographic and telegraphic things during WW2... did you want me to talk more about him at this stage?"

"more of the picture of the technology family and how that affected you and your cousin during early childhood"

"it was basically handed down through generations."

Thanks for the input. I don't think all lenovo products are bad, their service is bad in my opinion. I got a Lenovo Yoga, because I needed a touchscreen to mess around with stage lighting software. I'm not sure where I will go after the current broken lenovo product I have completely dies. I used to think lenovo is some workers brand that is durable. But it isn't at all in my opinion. Experiences may vary. $osg

I am bitter and need to chill. But I will keep reminding people of my bitterness every time the lenovo I own annoys me. Good conversation starter. Lol. $osg

@mrkozak Let me you about the most reliable laptop I've ever had (and I've had a lot): the Lenovo thinkpad T480. A dream for developers working with Linux, which is perfectly supported. It's very sturdy, and very easy to modify, like a jeep, it feels military. And runs very cool and silent, the BIOS has a lot of configuration possibilities, supports 64GB DDR4 RAM, has 2x M2 ssd slots, a trackpoint, 3 physical touchpad buttons, 2 batteries... and it even has drain holes in case you spill liquid over the keyboard! Every day I say thanks for it and I believe it'll last many years. $osg

Let it be known to the public blockchain unencrypted message readers that I do not like or appreciate Lenovo one bit. Macbook was my fist laptop and Lenovo Yoga was my second, and Apple is a million times more reliable. #dyor not financial advice. $osg

"when the decision from the ATO came, and they alleged that there was some manipulated documentation etc... did that change your view on what the value of the IP was?"

"no"

"were you made aware of these allegations beforehand, or did you just become aware of that at the ATO decisions?"

"those allegations came in the window between signing the term sheets, the heads of terms, and signing executing definitive agreements in December that year... if I recall correctly those allegations came in June/July... then we went on to sign the definitive agreements in December, so no they didn't affect our view on the IP"

"you didn't believe it, or it didn't have an affect?"

"it didn't have an affect"

judge: is there anything to add that you haven't been asked?

"no, it's been quite thorough"

"those allegations came in the window $osg

the judge has a couple of questions:

"I understand you were convinced from very early on that Craig Wright is SN, so it isn't of any importance TO YOU that he proves whether or not he is... either way, it's a big commotion.. is it of any importance to the company that you're chairing whether he is SN or not?"

"that's a very difficult question to answer, I'll be honest in my own mind.. as we sit here today.. .no, the nchain group is a company that is seven years old 285 staff, thousands of filings with the patent offices around the world, developing very significant capabilities in software as service solutions. The fact that DrWright is chief scientist, obviously was important in the development of the construct of IP, Craig has no day to day management of the company... his wish when he spoke with me in 2015 has been delivered. He sits generally remotely to the business, injects ideas, tutorial and white board sessions with the research group... the business is the business.. does the value of nChain change?

I can't say one way or the other, I can see arguments both ways. Does Craig being publicly recognised as SN change the value of BSV in the market? You'd have to ask investors/speculators... I'm not an investor in that sense. The other company I'm involved with is chairman of a public company... a company that provides mining services on several SHA256 blockchains and we're developing a whole software suite for organisations that want to blockchain enable their businesses.

Yes, to some degree Craig's identity matters to those businesses, on the other hand not so much. businesses are what they are, they've got their own strategies and plans."

"do I understand you correctly that you are not sure whether or not it is of importance tjat he is the person telling the world that he is SN as a link to the fork of SatoshiVision?"

"it's obviously got a nexus, how valuable that is and how important is really difficult for me to quantify"

"regarding Matonis him having a feeling he'd had coffee with SN and he mentioned it to his wife... did his wife tell this to you before or after the proofing session with Matonis?"

"at a dinner that we had in London... it would have been after"

"so that information had nothing to do with you choosing Matonis?"

"the reason I say after.... it was around the time he worked for nChain which was after the signings" $osg

after a lot of discussion between the judge and lawyers (wondering which direction the lawyer was attempting to steer StefanAndrews)

"just one question to wrap it up... the reason we're talking about this is because Andresen's experience has been a big part of this case and you witnessed this... is it still your view that because he is an important witness/has an important explanation... before you answer I can read... from line 5... a lawyer asks a question...."

"and your question for me is..."

"do you still think that Andresen's opinion of what happened is important?"

"important to what?"

"to Craig Wright being SN"

"for me personally, no.... I have some very special and unique experiences of interacting with DrWright in the years when he was creating what is known as BitCoin... I look at this that you've just read to me and Gavin can't remember whether the proof was done on two computers or one... I can tell you the proof was done first on one computer and then repeated exactly the same signings from exactly the same blocks using exactly the same keys on a completely newly set up machine that was brought in later in the day. That's what i can tell you happened."

switch in lawyers from Granath's party:
"the signing with Andresen, who was it that downloaded the software?"

"Andresen"

pulls up a document... it says there 'and the proof then was Craig downloaded and installed the software' how does that match your recollection?"

"to the best that I can recall it was Gavin on the new laptop... entering the keystrokes"

"do you remember how much time the whole set up and signing took?"

"a long time... it occurred twice with a long break in between because new laptop had to be purchased... we finished around 7 or 8 at night."

"what was it that took at that time?"

"delays... Gavin had to call hotel business centre to get connection to wifi credentials for the new laptop... there was a lot of conversation that was going on in between."

"who chose to use electrum?"

"Gavin I think"

"let's jump to 3747 then.. from line 15... this is the lawyer asking question to Andresen... he chose electrum"

"did MrAndresen witness everything?"

"like a hawk" $osg

"march 2019 were you involved in this decision to make claims of liable toward people calling Wright a fraud... were you involved in those discussions?"

"I'm aware of a lot of public and private communications..."

"did you discuss the strategy to suing people?"

"not that I can recall in that type of directness... I was involved in a lot of peripheral discussions around what was going on... I wasn't developing a strategy."

"did you discuss it with Wright or CalvinAyre?"

"probably"

"do you know what the goal was?"

"I can assume what the goal was... to cease this bombardment that was occurring publicly against this person"

"do you feel it was a lot of bombardment against wright?"

"yes"

"what do you think it's about?"

"you would have to ask the originators of this material, not me"

"were you involved in any of the discussions following the decision to make claims against people calling Craig a fraud? Did you have any involvement in that?"

"it's not my case, I may well have been involved in information flow about what was happening I wasn't making decisions, nor was I giving direction. $osg

"for the proof session do you know how Wright got hold of the private keys?"

"I'm trying to work out how to answer that... I don't know how he got hold of the keys.. my assumption was that he had the keys... but I know how he got consent to use the keys... we had legal discussion around this, we ended up getting written consent from the trustee to allow the coins to be used for this specific purpose and for no other purpose."

"who was the trustee?"

"I can't remember... the consent we received was on letterhead from the trust"

"which trust was that"

"tulip trust if I recall correctly"

"was the letter with a logo and someone signed?"

"it was very carefully worded for a very specific purpose"

Judge asks: "did it have the same wording as this" (Stefan looking at a document on the screen).

"no" $osg

"after the Satre post... did you discuss with Craig whether or not he could or should sign a new message"

"I don't understand"

"use the private keys to sign a new message and go public with it"

"I don't know"

"I was dealing with hundred's of things a day trying to negotiate consensus between Craig and mcgregor"

"did you know Craig received quite a lot of criticism after it was published?"

"do you remember what the discussions were?"

"did Craig ever explain to you why he didn't want to sign in public?"

"Craig's never wanted to sign in public... he's got a very strong personal views around identity and that keys don't prove identity.. I've always felt that's his prerogative and I left it at that"

"still he signed in front of Gavin"

"it was PART of the proof of identity"

"has he ever explained why not publicly"

"are you aware that Wright destroyed the hard drive with the key slices and/or private coins for the first blocks of bitcoin?"

"yes, that's what I was told"

"did you have any discussions about that at the time?"

"there were other events around that had occurred around that time that were extremely traumatic 4May to 16 and I had other things on my mind."

"do you think it's a bit reckless to destroy that kind of value after you've given him a lot of money?"

"I wish a lot of things had played out differently"

"did he explain why he destroyed the hard drive?"

"no". $osg
