Idea: pow.co/upload

Since add.bico.media relies on the now-defunkt money button, and bitcoinfiles.org faces similar problems that make it unusable, what do you think of allowing B:// file uploads directly on pow.co?

Personally I rather enjoy and find great value in uploading files to the blockchain. It could be super straightforward.

Files up to 10mb can be posted in a single transaction, and powco could become the team that finally enables bitcoin users to uploader larger files such as long audio or HD videos.

That would require one or more multi-transaction schemes but pow.co/upload would become the place where developers can collaborate on file uploads with the confidence that code will remain open source and therefore stand the test of time.

Important update in boostpow-js

A longstanding flaw in boostpow-js was that the functions which read boost
scripts from transactions assumed that only one script would be found per
transaction. We have depricated all functions named "fromTransaction" and
created a new function which finds ALL scripts among both the inputs and outputs
of a transaction. All depricated functions in all applications that rely on
boostpow-js should replace the depricated functions with this new one.

We will be working on updating the server so that we can reliably read
transactions that contain more than one boost script.

The result is a bitcoin script in ASM or Hex format that can be passed to Relayx, Twetch, Handcash, Sensilet or another bitcoin wallet that supports pay-to-script:

Submitting a Boostpow Job to the Boostpow API Index

Once you have constructed and signed a transaction with a boostpow job script in an output containing satoshis you may optionally submit that job to a boostpow-api server. While jobs will likely be discovered while scanning the mempool the most direct and surefire way to have your job indexed and mined most quickly is to POST it directly the server.
