Social networks are very hierarchical and like a social pyramid. This is a core characteristic of Web 2.
One negative effect of this is that top-down influence aids social group think and information control. So our society is now in some sort of devolution , apart from some benefits it has created

One of the reasons I came to bsv day 1 and like pow is that I would like to see this flattened by any small amount.
Of course, human nature and human diversity are at work, so it’s complex.

Given this is my reason for being here, I tinker around and observe users actions and motives and figure about ways to crack the nut. I am not here to dive into these hierarchies myself

Pumps are games people play. Most people are just having fun, chasing possibilities
Rarity mint gambling is an interesting slightly different dynamic, since it’s a hybrid of gambling odds and pumping. People like to gamble, especially when the downside appears low.

Some people simply decide it’s not their choice to participate or to serve that market. There are multiple reasons why they might decide that.
It’s not necessarily that people don’t understand that market

Agree, Self-anointed moral superiority is an intoxicant that Leftism peddles young people.
We see that this leads to “ends-justifies-means” moral reasoning and exhibits a lack of introspection and protecting world view, preserving self-importance. AOC as an example.

If I am to attempt discern people, I observe their behavior.

Our cultural gatekeepers in the West have been primarily focused on manipulating teen girls for over 60 years.
It works great. They are the key lever for manipulating all of our society.

Cope! There are of course advantages to NOT getting into ordinals because there is risk and opportunity cost, as others have pointed out. However, risks can be mitigated and a good trade doesn't cost much time. With a better understanding of the psychology of the market, ordinals could have been profitable for everybody.

Teach them physics, mathematics, computer science, economics, finance, accountancy, and anthropology. Make sure they read the great books.

Cope! There is always risk with short-term things so that is an argument to stay away from things like ordinals but the truth is the people on this site didn't understand what would happen. No user at pow.co understood why ordinals would pump. More needs to be done to understand the psychology of this market.

Perhaps by updating to Ordinals we can give the user an option to how their images in their wallet rather than simply posting them. Not sure how that will work out since it is unclear wither Relayx can transfer ordinals, so perhaps it would be best restricted to users of sensilet.
