Proposed change to API to make errors easier to track.
I wish to propose a change to the API that I wish to work on to help better trace errors that occur in the use of the site, and API.
I want to make it so each call into the API generates a random UUID. this will be set in the response header, so that any use of the API can get this UUID if it desires. In addition I wish to alter the log function so any log entries generated by the call, will have this uuid as part of the log. This means if an error occurs and is passed to the site, or any other usage of the API. That UUID can be passed as part of the error code, making it so we can find the appropriate logs with ctrl-f or even in the future, automated tool to let us search by UUID. This will improve the finding of existing bugs, future bugs, and overall increase the response time to problems with the site or other API uses.
