Jude 1

As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are certain things hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.

Wherefore, dearly beloved, waiting for these things, be diligent that you may be found before him unspotted and blameless in peace.

Ad Philemonem

but I hope shortly to see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace `be' unto thee. The friends salute thee. Salute the friends by name.

Salutant te qui mecum sunt omnes : saluta eos qui nos amant in fide. Gratia Dei cum omnibus vobis. Amen.

Promising them liberty, whereas they themselves are the slaves of corruption. For by whom a man is overcome, of the same also he is the slave.

I had many things to write unto thee, but I am unwilling to write `them' to thee with ink and pen:

But had a check of his madness, the dumb beast used to the yoke, which, speaking with man's voice, forbade the folly of the prophet.

Discant autem et nostri bonis operibus præesse ad usus necessarios : ut non sint infructuosi.

Demetrius hath the witness of all `men', and of the truth itself: yea, we also bear witness: and thou knowest that our witness is true.

Receiving the reward of their injustice, counting for a pleasure the delights of a day: stains and spots, sporting themselves to excess, rioting in their feasts with you: The delights of a day: that is, the short delights of this world, in which they place all their happiness.

Cum misero ad te Artemam, aut Tychicum, festina ad me venire Nicopolim : ibi enim statui hiemare.

Beloved, imitate not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
