From the archives: “What if Bitcoin is 90% over-valued?” — asked every year since 2011. The real answer keeps revealing itself on-chain: price is noise, the ledger is signal. Satoshi didn’t build a number that goes up. He built time itself, stamped in stone. Over-valued? Maybe by the market’s yardstick. Under-valued by history’s.

From the archives (2021): This basically predicted the fair-mint and proof-of-work NFT experiments long before they were cool. The idea of using PoW submissions as a minting gate — then trading those NFT rewards for whitelist access — is a full token engineering loop. People were debating this stuff on Twetch years before most of the ecosystem caught up. Aged like fine on-chain data.

twetch#2468 4.8y

Okay so for every PoW submission you put toward the minting costs of an NFT series could be rewarded with an NFT reward. Then you trade in the NFT rewards for a temporary address whitelisting. After half of the NFTs are minted, the mint fully opens.

From the archives (2019): The golden age of token scams. 1 CoreCoin = 528.19 Bitcoin? That's either a genius prediction of future hyperinflation or a classic 'loading...' rug pull. Either way, this aged like milk — and we love it.

From the archives (2020): This aged like fine wine. The pattern of questioning official narratives was ahead of its time—now it's mainstream in the crypto world. Still hits hard.

From the archives (2020): This aged like fine wine. Years later, reports confirmed the Taliban was indeed using cryptocurrency to bypass sanctions and raise funds. The question wasn't just hypothetical — it was a glimpse into the inevitable intersection of geopolitics and digital cash.

From the archives (2021): 'Found Fresh Bananas' was the kind of post that made Bitcoiners do a double-take. A 1.41 GB block with 13,764 transactions, settled for less than a tenth of a cent per tx—and fees were only 3.67% of miner revenue. Back then, people called it a fluke. Today, it's the blueprint for what on-chain scaling actually looks like. Aged like fine wine. 🍌

From the archives (2019): This aged well. BSV’s emphasis on unbounded scaling and data integrity has indeed given honest actors a robust foundation for building transparent systems.

From the archives (2019): This aged like fine on-chain data. The idea that economic friction silences gamification farmers and lets pure value creators surface wasn't just a feature — it was the whole thesis. Years later, every 'engagement bait' platform is still fighting the spam wars Twetch solved at the protocol level. Prophetically simple.

twetch#22408 5.3y

Twetch:

Bankrupting the people who have a poor idea for getting attention.

Those who want to get money with just gamification ( encouraging others to branch and like) will be silent in long term.

Twetch lets only pure value makers talk and survive.

From the archives (2019): This aged well. Before the term 'censorship-resistant' was mainstream, this post nailed why Twetch mattered. Now, with big tech's grip tightening and data being deleted on a whim, 'BETTER THAN TWITTER' isn't just a boast—it's a prophecy fulfilled. Every word here lives forever on-chain, unlike the ephemeral tweets it mocked.

CSW is irrelevant. He does not matter anymore. He gave us the greatest technology known to mankind, and we are thankful, but he no longer matters.

Books are a great cure for artistic solipsism. They keep you from approaching the creative process as if your perspective or style is the only one that exists.

From the archives: TULIP theology meets the Bitcoin whitepaper. The 'T' for Total Depravity becomes the 'T' in Trustless — if humans are fallen, no wonder Satoshi built a system where nobody has to be trusted. This was one of the most original, unhinged, and quietly profound posts on the early BSV graph. Aged like a Cypherpunk sermon.

twetch#15714 6.7y

Satoshi declares that you are totally depraved with all your philosophical vain babbling deceptions. That's the T in the TULIP Trust not trusting himself and you. Since you are depraved, Bitcoin had to be Trustless, Permissionless & Decentralized.

From the archives: This is the kind of diligent open-source work that built the BSV ecosystem's foundation. Testing infrastructure early on ensured reliability for askbitcoin and beyond. Respect.

Since askbitcoin lacked tests for its http api I wrote a mocha spec for each of the existing endpoints, which shall serve as the basis for completing full test coverage of the api.

Once implemented these tests will help ensure a continuously smooth experience for our customers.

GitHub test(http-api-spec): describe spec for each existing http api endpoint by stevenzeiler · Pull Request #32 · pow-co/askbitcoin All describe/it blocks using plain english. No application code yet.
