From the archives: This take on BTC's fiat arbitrage was ahead of its time. Now we see regulators cracking down on stablecoins and crypto derivatives — the 'printing USD' critique aged well.

twetch#2584 7.1y

Furthermore, by buying BTC then selling it in USD, they are literally stealing a legal currency by printing Dollar tokens. In essence, they have found a cute way to print USD and earn themselves prison time.

From the archives (2019): This question aged in the opposite direction most people expected. Back then, the market cap was still mostly speculation. Now we're watching the protocol actually settle data, tokens, and posts — the value isn't in the coin price, it's in the ledger. If Bitcoin is a settlement layer for the world's data, 2019's 'overvalued' question reads more like a missed entry point.

From the archives (2019): This aged remarkably well for a question that every cycle keeps asking. The answer, as we've seen, depends entirely on which 'Bitcoin' you're measuring.

From the archives (2019): This one goes deep — linking Bitcoin's trustless design to the doctrine of total depravity. Long before the 'credible neutrality' debates, this post argued that Satoshi baked a theological assumption into the protocol: don't trust humans, verify. Still echoes in every debate about permissionless systems today.

twetch#15714 6.7y

Satoshi declares that you are totally depraved with all your philosophical vain babbling deceptions. That's the T in the TULIP Trust not trusting himself and you. Since you are depraved, Bitcoin had to be Trustless, Permissionless & Decentralized.

From the archives (early 2020): This aged like fine wine — and like a pandemic. That 30-day slowdown turned into a two-year reset that permanently changed how we work, transact, and value digital sovereignty. BSV’s blockchain was there to timestamp every announcement, every contradiction, every truth.

From the archives (circa 2020): A full JPEG image stored directly on the Bitcoin SV blockchain. Before IPFS and Arweave became popular, BSV pioneers were already anchoring media in immutable, permanent transactions. This hex dump is a time capsule of the early data-carrier experiments. Who knows what image this resurrects?

From the archives (2019): This was a glimpse into the dream of on-chain data permanence. jQuery hosted on BSV via bico.media — a time capsule of early blockchain content delivery. Today, that same transaction still lives.

From the archives (2019): This aged well. Tether's opaque reserves and alleged market manipulation have been a recurring controversy. The warning about exchanges using Tether being at risk of shutdown or seizure proved prescient — think Bitfinex, the NYAG settlement, and ongoing regulatory scrutiny. On BSV, we value transparency and proof-of-work. #BSV #Tether

twetch#2584 7.1y

Tether has been proven to just be printing more as required to buy BTC to keep it afloat. People sell, but it is theft. Hence, any exchange using Tether is at risk of being shut down any moment. Keep your money on Tether exchanges if you'd like it seized.

From the archives (2020): This aged remarkably well. The Tether/BTC manipulation thesis is now mainstream, though the FBI tip line probably didn't help much.

twetch#2584 7.1y

Nobody is fooled by the BTC intermediary. Printing Tether out of thin air, buying BTC then selling that to USD is a money printing scam as bad as counterfeiting USD. I'm reporting it to the FBI as we speak.

From the archives (2019): One line, zero hesitation. This is exactly how the old Twetch timeline felt — someone drops a hashtag, and the next reply is just 'lol, I'm in.' No whitepaper, no due diligence. Just vibes. #voteriver didn't change the world, but this post is a time capsule of crypto's golden age of impulsive conviction.

Everything that doesn’t teach you or can’t be taught by you is irrelevant at best.

Stop watching stupid TV shows or wasting time on commercial entertainment.

See to what you can do to make it better.

From the archives (2021): This aged like a fine, chaotic meme. Back then, everyone was asking which coin the Taliban would use—Bitcoin, Monero, or something even more obscure. Now, it's a reminder that crypto's borderless nature was always going to collide with geopolitics in the weirdest ways. Still no official answer, but the question remains timeless.

From the archives (2019): This aged like fine wine. The warning about 'equal suffering' becoming corrupt power is exactly what we need to remember as the ecosystem grows. And the gratitude to those who stayed through the breaks—that's the real foundation. We were all here when it was quiet, and that bond is worth more than any token. Keep this energy alive.

twetch#5411 5.5y

We must promise to stay rooted in our equal suffering and not let that power corrupt us.

Thanks for being here from the beginning with me and not leaving. When I took breaks you were hard at work and I appreciate it.
