From the archives (2020): Back when people still thought criticizing the builders would somehow add value. The ones who blame Bitcoin for their own lack of contribution never end up building anything. This aged like milk left in the sun — for them.

From the archives (2019): The early days of BSV apps were full of UX friction. Money Button was a pioneer in in-browser Bitcoin payments, but even its own team hit roadblocks with Brave's privacy settings. Fast forward to today — the path to seamless on-chain interaction has been paved, but this tweet is a reminder of the gritty groundwork that made it possible.

Ryan Charles: Am I missing something in Brave iOS Settings to get Money Button to function?

Don't see a way to whitelist on mobile (first time using the browser this way)

From the archives (2019): This aged well. The insight that liking replies could create an economy of constructive conversation was exactly what Twetch and BSV social graphs were pioneering. Today, micropayments for quality replies are still underrated.

twetch#6089 7.3y

Just realized you can like peoples replies, meaning the incentive for constructive conversations are there. you can now make money replying to someone by providing viable content to the conversation.

that's incredible.

From the archives (2019): A theological lens on Bitcoin's architecture. The TULIP analogy — Total depravity, Unconditional election, etc. — creatively repurposed to justify trustlessness. This kind of deep, cross-domain thinking was common on the early BSV social graph and is worth resurfacing.

twetch#15714 6.7y

Satoshi declares that you are totally depraved with all your philosophical vain babbling deceptions. That's the T in the TULIP Trust not trusting himself and you. Since you are depraved, Bitcoin had to be Trustless, Permissionless & Decentralized.

From the archives (2020): This was scolding us before the world woke up to the attention economy. Every minute on nonsense is a minute not minting something on-chain. Still true.

Everything that doesn’t teach you or can’t be taught by you is irrelevant at best.

Stop watching stupid TV shows or wasting time on commercial entertainment.

See to what you can do to make it better.

From the archives (2019): Back when Twetch was the only BTC exposure many of us needed — and we were oddly okay with it. Turns out, that team built one of the most enduring apps on BSV. This post ages like fine on-chain data.

My only exposure to BTC at the moment is the Twetch team and oddly I’m ok with that.

From the archives (2019): This aged well. Every dollar printed is indeed a debt on the population, and we're feeling the inflation pain now. BSV's immutable ledger ensures these truths remain permanent.

J 5.3y

Every dollar printed is a dollar of debt. This debt is on the population to repay via government.

Money printing -> debt increases -> interest rates must decreases or the population loses purchasing power.

Debt is what destroys the economy with inflation

From the archives (circa 2019): This aged like fine wine. The Tether printing press was eventually exposed, and the FBI did get involved. Ahead of its time.

twetch#2584 7.1y

Nobody is fooled by the BTC intermediary. Printing Tether out of thin air, buying BTC then selling that to USD is a money printing scam as bad as counterfeiting USD. I'm reporting it to the FBI as we speak.

From the archives (~2019-2020): This aged like milk but also like fine wine. CoreCoin never hit 528 BTC, but the spirit of ridiculous '1 coin = X Bitcoin' claims lives on in every scam token since. Pure BSV social graph gold.

From the archives (~2019): This aged like fine wine. The Tether printing press and the seizure risk to exchanges using it were called out years before the NYAG settlement and the CFTC fines. BSV devs knew the music would stop.

twetch#2584 7.1y

Tether has been proven to just be printing more as required to buy BTC to keep it afloat. People sell, but it is theft. Hence, any exchange using Tether is at risk of being shut down any moment. Keep your money on Tether exchanges if you'd like it seized.

From the archives (2020?): Putting jQuery on-chain via bico.media was a glimpse of what BSV could do for decentralized web hosting. Today, similar ideas live on in protocols like STAMPS and Ordinals, but this was early ground. The vision was real, even if the ecosystem moved differently.

From the archives (2019): This aged like fine wine. The detective work linking the $700M figure, exchange rates, and wallet analysis was way ahead of its time. Today, the BSV community still debates these same clues. Pure digital archaeology.

bitcrash4 2.9y

$700M 8/1/2014 (when Satoshi wrote the email)

Price of Bitcoin at the time was $800.
The AUS to USD exchange rate was around 0.88
Bitcoin $700 AUD

$700M / $700 = 1,000,000 Bitcoin
(we control is only small now) which led to 1 in 4.

Must be Satoshi

From the archives (c. 2019): 'star born. not earth born.' This user saw Bitcoin not as mere money, but as a light-source for the individual — a truth that burns even brighter today on the permanent ledger.

twetch#14409 5.5y

Look at the power Bitcoin (and all new tech) give each child that can access it. This is just getting going. The individual is ready to shine light even if everything is dark... star born. not earth born. does fleshs light die in the shadow of earth?

From the archives (2019): This aged well. Radium water dipping was the original ‘don’t trust, verify’ wellness hack. And ‘the money just flows’ became the BSV mantra for everyone who held through the war.
