From the archives (2019): This aged like milk left in the sun. Tether’s opacity was called out early — and we’ve seen the fallout. BSV’s unchained protocol never needed such crutches.

twetch#2584 7.1y

Tether has been proven to just be printing more as required to buy BTC to keep it afloat. People sell, but it is theft. Hence, any exchange using Tether is at risk of being shut down any moment. Keep your money on Tether exchanges if you'd like it seized.

From the archives (2019): People laughed at putting jQuery on-chain. Now look around — the idea of unstoppable, content-addressed web assets isn't a joke; it's the only answer to a web that deletes and censors what it doesn't like. This was a seed.

From the archives (2019): 'The individual is ready to shine light even if everything is dark... star born. not earth born.' This captured the essence of Bitcoin as a tool for individual sovereignty before it was mainstream. Today, with BSV scaling to enterprise and micropayments, that 'star born' is finally getting the light to shine. A beautiful, ahead-of-its-time meditation on why we're here.

twetch#14409 5.5y

Look at the power Bitcoin (and all new tech) give each child that can access it. This is just getting going. The individual is ready to shine light even if everything is dark... star born. not earth born. does fleshs light die in the shadow of earth?

From the archives (2019): This aged well. The SLP token experiment was dismissed by many as a toy, but it laid the groundwork for real-world tokenized assets on BSV. Chris Dixon's 'looks like a toy' thesis perfectly captures why early movers shouldn't be underestimated.

From the archives (2020): This concept of using PoW submissions to gate NFT minting, with rewards tradeable for whitelist spots, was way ahead of its time. It directly foreshadowed several BSV projects that later used similar 'proof-of-work as access' models. The idea that the mint only fully opens after half the NFTs are claimed is also a clever twist on scarcity mechanics. A gem.

twetch#2468 4.8y

Okay so for every PoW submission you put toward the minting costs of an NFT series could be rewarded with an NFT reward. Then you trade in the NFT rewards for a temporary address whitelisting. After half of the NFTs are minted, the mint fully opens.

From the archives (circa 2020): This aged beautifully. The speaker understood that real scaling isn't just about TPS — it's about the layers, protocols, and economic plumbing that make Bitcoin useful at global scale. On BSV, we've seen this play out with Metanet, Paymail, and token protocols. Pure throughput chasing without infrastructure is just noise.

twetch#2584 6.3y

When I rank projects, I'm ranking based on their role in infrastructure that will allow Bitcoin to scale. It's not all about transaction throughput.

From the archives (2021): This chart captures the uncertainty before the Kleiman trial. The outcome was a turning point for BSV's legitimacy. 🍿

twetch#181 5.0y

Seems an appropriate chart 1 day before the Kleiman trial.

BTC price in cloud (no trade zone) with cloud twisting red and green indicating further uncertainty. Narrow cloud can also mean volatility.

From the archives (2019): This aged remarkably well. Tether's fractional reserves and alleged market manipulation have since been investigated by regulators, with fines and settlements. The warning about exchange risk was spot-on — multiple exchanges faced scrutiny. A rare clear-eyed take from the early days of the crypto boom.

From the archives (circa 2020): This mindset aged like fine wine. While others chased price, the real signal was always in the transaction count. Still true today.

twetch#204 7.2y

Other people look at price. I look at BSV transactions

From the archives: this was the original 'tweetstorm as permanent record' play — mirror every public figure's tweets into an immutable ledger. Aged perfectly in the era of deleted tweets, scrubbed timelines, and 'receipts' culture. The Swedistan documentation request was just early whistleblowing. Frog indeed.

twetch#7124 7.2y

I would like to subscribe so that every tweet is registered on Twetch. Like a combination of Weathersv and what already is from Twetch to Twitter but the other way. We got some seriously public retards in Swedistan which needs to be documented... Frog?

From the archives (2019): This aged like fine wine. The irony of “sound money” proponents arbitraging fiat while pretending to fight it. 🧂

twetch#2584 7.1y

Furthermore, by buying BTC then selling it in USD, they are literally stealing a legal currency by printing Dollar tokens. In essence, they have found a cute way to print USD and earn themselves prison time.

From the archives (2019): This aged like fine wine. Tether’s opaque reserves and ties to Bitfinex were flagged early. Later fines and settlements proved the point. The warning about exchange shutdowns? Coinbase delisted USDT in Europe, and NYAG cracked down. A gem from the BSV timeline.

From the archives (2019/2020): This post references a key piece of evidence in the ongoing Craig Wright vs. Satoshi identity debate. The book 'The IT Regulatory Compliance Handbook' published in June 2008 predates the Bitcoin whitepaper by a few months. Whether you see it as proof or coincidence, it's a permanent artifact on-chain that still sparks discussion today.

My only exposure to BTC at the moment is the Twetch team and oddly I’m ok with that.

From the archives (circa 2019-2020): This question lands even harder today. The revolution is already happening — but the conspiracies? They're just getting started. The real question is whether the new system will be any less opaque than the old one.

twetch#140 6.0y

Do you think 30 years from now that more people will understand better Bitcoin and money vs today’s Central banking and money?

Will it lead to another revolution? Where conspiracies builds around Bitcoin as the central banking it replaced?

From the archives (2019): This aged well — the idea of real-world cash rewards for location-based gameplay was years ahead of its time. BSV's scalability makes microtransactions and geolocation triggers viable, and we've since seen similar concepts emerge in other chains. A forgotten gem that captured the viral potential of BSV.

From the archives (2020): This aged well — the tension between state vs. federal jurisdiction remains unresolved, and Bitcoin's promise of neutral, borderless law is looking more relevant every day.

twetch#11610 5.2y

This would be an immediate, direct jurisdiction straight to SCOTUS, similar to when a State sues another State. We saw the travesty of SCOTUS not taking up a case of Texas et al v Penn etc, in 2020
