Clearooh pretty! hi mikey!!
Appreciate the reply. As for my first question in my last comment, it seems BSV is evolving to support exactly this kind of data volume - I just watched this talk by CSW:
hhhmmm... following the steps to create a new identity and I get a post option🐾
good evenin'
or even rather than just being able to correct/update things & make one line of events, we should just allow it to branch & recombine, like git,, as well as correcting or improving your own posts you could also fork & make changes to someone else's post, & you could click to see the changes w/ highlights of what was changed between versions
ooh that reminds me, when are we going to get an onchain wiki going, i love the wiki structure :D
i just made this youtube explaining AGAIN about the Sartre essay
is there any point to that? will anyone learn? will literally any single person on earth be informed by this video? i don't know
it was kinda fun to make i guess
It would be neat to have versioning on Blockpost, naturally using the bitcoinschema.org for compatibility with everything.
Let's say there is an update or maybe a correction/edit you'd like to do to a Blockpost, the "edit" basically versions the original Blockpost and creates a new one that shows first (interface) over any previous ones edited. Any likes or interactions are not transferrable, so it needs to build a new audience to the new versioned Blockpost, but you can fix any previous thoughts, opinions, or texts with a breadcrumb trail online.
That's the infrastructure that is being built by many different parties in different ways. We basically have to listen to the mempool to get immediate data, all missed transactions are then processed when the block is mined. BlockPost injects all posts directly into the BlockPost DB for minimum latency on the BlockPost site itself.
It's all doable and I would argue easier to do on Bitcoin, than what Facebook, for instance, needs to do, on a global scale. With Bitcoin, I could have BlockPost up and running on all continents, but not linked to each other in any way (DB replication for instance). Bitcoin makes sure all instances have the same data.
Can't sleep 😪 thinking about tomorrow 😶
Good to know. If/when BlockPost becomes as massive as say Facebook, do you think Bitcoin will be able to handle it while maintaining a smooth experience for users?
just one example - with BSV's block time of 10 minutes, Blockpost will have to do a lot of heavy lifting to maintain a near-instantaneous response time across so many users, no?
Goodnight 😴😪
Watch this, trust me. https://streamanity.com/video/3KN9cDyTN6eox6
All Blockpost has to do, is to exist, in order to win the users. Time will take it further than any "version" altering, tinkering, or injecting their vision of what bitcoin is.
Bitcoin is the individual mind of a person while being the mind of humanity at the same time. No other legacy system such as the printing of books or the current internet can do today.
If Blockpost tinkers with the barebone interaction of bitcoin, another untainted version will emerge and take over the long tail of it. Bitcoin fragmenting can stop today, but humanity will fragment for a long time until what always was ends up being always was.
GM to y'all, dont forget your doggies to do some activities to save treats use for diggings😎 If you're still not in Durodogs join us❤️
It's awesome as a distributed communication network that allows you to employ global scale for a very reasonable price. The hashing and timestamping make it tamper proof.
