ClearThe art value put on display at social parties was a product of their social value. The person who commissioned the art was in control, the artist replaceable. There was no threat that a great artist would become the center of social status. The art only existed to serve their status
Old European buildings have a lot of great built-in art because that's where great artists labored as anonymous nobodies while the royal and merchantils elites hired picture painters who made mostly lame wall art that they would feature socially
If you only work with average artists , then you can always replace that artist with another one And nobody will care of the difference.
Then you never need to be in the position of granting that artist any special status
that's what is going on
This is the 1600s European royalty doing this. Glad Western Civilation got behind that. Nice to see that BSV social hierarchy has brought us backward some 400 years
Most of NFT value is social affinity . The problem with that is it's mostly an "in-group" dynamic. The NFT projects do little to attract BSV growth , except for more artists.
You can see that BSV already has too many artists relative to buyers. The new artists usually don't realize that they won't get far without climbing BSV's social hierarchy, which circles back to the people steering the social affinity
The correct takeaway about the "rarities" popularity is about leveraging the power network effects. Ever-Larger mints creates more people chasing more extremes "rarities", which is an effective way to pump price as everybody figures that somebody is going to win out.
of course there is nothing truly scare happening here, and the art isn't usually very good , the process is iterative, and the actual incentive is to create tons of supply that end up as bag holders
Nothing Scarce
I would rather an NFT collection launch bombed than get into that, if buyers only wanted that.. The NFTs we put up for sale will still be there when everybody else figures out how dumb the fake scarcity "rarity" fad was.
Rarity Chart NFTs are going to get steamrolled by actual creativity
we will be doing some generative style collections where it makes sense like Byzantinetribes but rarity chart nonsense is Not happening .
It's comical that he's top 5, probably the top 10 artists in BSV are outsiders from the social perimeter of Randy , Moist , and Jack
I believe that's intentional. These guys dont want somebody who can do stuff they are incapable of to have comparable social stature in BSV . That might blow up their whole hierarchy .
oh , have I ever said it's my goal to blow up their hierarchy? Yes it is. I will make it happen . Watch me
You have to hand it to the rarecandy guys- they realize the process is iterative , and thus essentially valueless over time .
They aren't curating for quality. They just control the marketplace so they can slow walk one pump every 4 weeks to slow down the rate of iteration so buyers don't realize it's a valueless process .
You can make the gamble that if they can gain users at a rate as better than the supply that the iterations put out, they can hold value . But the buyers won't get rich from that , the issuers will .
and that why they maintain seek to reinforce the status quo of the social hierarchy. Even Jack from RelayX is in on that equally with Randy and Moist and their two or 3 artists of average talent
It's nothing personal really. I believe the social hierarchy in BSV need to get blown up in order for it to grow.
Balancing the deliberative and the inspirational through a collaborative creative process is very delicate act.
I explained on twitter about the status of AceofGears project. There is a vision. We're working through abstractions. When creating an aspect of imagery that nobody has seen before this is where we must begin.
Much Thanks to the artist @EmaCryptoXo , our future art director. 😄
We're eating the same food for days, example we will cook lot of fish today and it has a lot of left we will save it for lunch and dinner, or until tomorrow or another 3days if it still can be eaten. We just warm it in fire and tada!
a lot of people become rich because of Bitcoin, i hope im gonna one of them someday 🥰 No more starving to feel, no more forcing self to eat foods even it shouldnt be eat. In God's name!
Would love to see Satoshi Doodles on this platform
(Did a search and didn't find them).
Good to know.
