Clearwow cool some of the story of the creation of Myst https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWX5B6cD4_4 i really enjoyed Myst so that's trippy to finally hear what it was like for them to make it after all this time
YouTube How Myst Almost Couldn't Run on CD-ROM | War Stories | Ars Technica Cyan Worlds co-founder Rand Miller goes behind the scenes of the development of one of the best selling PC games of all time, Myst. The HyperCard-developed t... 😂😂😂
ok that's cool, i've vaguely heard of Hona
Hona content being put on-chain...
uh what? where? hi :)
i've been trying to try out easy-b and see what the deal is with that but i already trashed two different aws servers out of frustration trying to deal w/ fucking node, i guess maybe i should try installing something called nvm!? is this really what we're doing, really, we're going to have backend shit in javascript too, seriously, when we could do absolutely anything we want, this is our choice as humanity, why, woe, despair :(
Very disturbing phenomenon which seems fairly new. I'm not sure if we've ever seen it before, or at least been able to observe it. I think it's created by the technology, media, and political apparatus. What could possibly undo it is the politicians opening free information flow
everything has a trajectory, so when things split into pieces, the pieces each have their trajectories, you lose the hottest fastest quickest burning things until all that's left is those things that most focus on enduring and preserving, and then, finally, only the eternal
The entire reality. There are two very distinct realities and narratives. Both sides have strong conviction in these ideas. Both believe they're correct. It's like two different bubbles co-existing. I was thinking there could be a universal consensus, but the split is so bad it seems impossible
in bitcoin you mean?? could describe lots of situations, lol
Think I'm getting a handle on what we're observing. Multiple realities playing out on different timelines. There is no universal consensus and won't be. Unfortunately, seems one timeline is on a collision course with disaster. Hence, appearance of competition is only an illusion
anyone else remember that song that goes "buy bitcoin anyway" and he's playing a weird keyboard and it's xenharmonic, i can't find that one, i like that song
this is a fantastic crypto music video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbI31x3FpS0 very much recommend it if you haven't seen it, remy's dogecoin rap
worth a try certainly, i'd tune in
but i think at that point you're selling advertising space, if you see what i mean? like people would call to sell their shit, which if the price was cheap enough wold be selling their own amateur social media presence & politics but, still, meh
what i'd do-- & the difference is maybe subtle but i think it's there-- is to sell an NFT & then only people w/ that NFT have VIP access to a more intense parasocial relationship & getting to call in--- you're still charging people to call, via a circuituous cute jpeg, but i feel like then what you'd have is a collective feeling, we're the owners & content producers of this shared enterprise that we have a stake in, the host is just our conductor, & they'd uh be a little more culty in how they present themselves b/c they'd have an insider jargonny vibe but they'd be trying to produce content helpful to the shared organism
I was thinking the other day about old radio shows and how much people like to get on ready-made audiences
if I had a popular stream , I'd take audio calls by the minute using dimely
give the audience a chance to pay for a minute to give their opinion and prompt a question for discussion
good use case?
