i'd like to put in a word for chatting in the form of just html posted to b:// -- which you can do using bico.media, just upload an html file and there you go, here's a tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rL2uij_sP0

posting here is great, blockpost makes a pretty frame for the thing you said, and other sites make different frames presumably, so that's nice

posting just html to the chain, you get to present it yourself, or to not present it, to frame it or unframe it, to construct shapes of frames for things other people said before and relate them in various ways, you get to play and create and be free

the web stopped being like that, i feel like that's the problem, idk if some of you are too young to remember what the web was at first at all, or if you're old enough but you've forgotten, i'd forgotten some myself, it's hard, it's an old wound, what we thought the web could be and how we were betrayed

saying something on b:// it's naked, frameless, it's on bitcoin, and that's that, there's html on bitcoin

here is just a tiny bit more frame & it's a useful frame that lets us tune into the latest things on this protocol

so here is good for pointing to the latest things, getting attention

but i'd like if some of what we were pointing to was what's deeper into the chain, this isn't the bottom of the rabbit hole this is just a place we're falling to along the way, i'd like people coming here to see links pointing deeper into the chain itself, to how the chain is links to the chain deeper and deeper into history and mystery and intrigue

at first we just posted webpages saying "hi" and colored them and shaped them however we wanted

but what happened was it was just an expense to put up a page for fun so those all faded

instead we got pages that successfully got attention to advertisers or successfully tagged lots of people with trackers

so that became our collective idea of what a "webpage" is, that it's something pretty and magazine-like and very very attention-grabbing

here the economics are different, you don't have to pay to keep it running, but you do pay by the byte, so it's very reasonable to just say a simple something, just like talking here except you get to choose the background color or use the marquee tag, give it a try, just say things, just play around with it, it's harmless in this very different new context
