What I am talking about is 50% technology and 50% economic enablement of markets. Both have to be built for a replacement system to exist.

The tech world is full of product managers who think of markets in terms of static economics. This is probably why there is so little interest in BSV from the tech industry.

But only on bsv can this be brought to life.

To me, Bitcoin apps running in AWS is no good long term. We will never replace cloud with Bitcoin apps if we have to use it to run our stuff.

Running it outside cloud providers won't give businesses scale-on-demand - without creating state-of-the art replacement means. This isn't a problem today because Bitcoin lacks users. Nobody is going to wake up with a viral app and a million users. But we need to set the stage for this day to come In 5 years.

The biggest technical problem with cloud is that the data security model, from app perspective, is generally bulk data. One breach at a data source enables thieves to capture data on millions of account users. Bitcoin-oriented computing can rely on a unitary security model reaching user endpoints who secure payment

The next problem with cloud is that companies are using 5 to 7 general purpose cloud/platforms. With SAAS solutions, it's over 10. Businesses undergo constant migration and integration among data silos as demand evolve. This creates more value in moving toward a shared ledger model as businesses can focus on their own value

Another issue with the app model is that it's economics are strongly biased to the benefit of the large platform providers. Companies that build apps bear a lot of complexities outside the simpler software that manifest as extra costs. They get value extracted from them by many directions. Apps often don't have strong economics unless they reach massive scale. Conditions are ripe for app companies to build things that users control at lower cost.

The biggest problem with the internet itself is that spyware is driving its economics. As cost structures are disrupted, the need for building spyware systems to do things is diminished. Over time, users will be more empowered to kill spyware models or to gain more direct benefits in choosing to participate.

I have said all these things before but I keep iterating to sharpen it.

The original value prop was cloud was on-demand scaling.

Of course some of our stack can rely on the Bitcoin network. But we still have the rest of the stack.

This is the thing I have been looking at replacing. I want to throw out the old cloud stack. This can be done. It of course also needs to be built to do on-demand scaling.

For over a decade people believed that cloud's hyper-scale providers could never be challenged economically . Thats why they are worth a few $Trillion. We can in fact beat hyper-scale platforms economically and still offer on-demand scaling

let's reintroduce dimely to BSVers

I will send 100 $DIME each to first 20 users who both

-first reply here with RelayX paymail

-log into dimely on 11/8 using it.

If anybody also successfully connects a call me tomorrow while I am on , I will bonus 100 $DIME

If winners also join the dimely TG group tomorrow, I will bump it up an extra 25

I definitely not going to buy out more of those 800 of the 3496 $DiME air drop recipients at $100 a pop.

I am surprised so many are thirsty for a quick exit. $DIME price could easily drop $95 short term since all those holders got In free and might take $5

Reason tells me to let it drop short term so it's easier to absorb them .

It was The Who in 79 , not the Stones.

The people doing saito, I hope they make use of it. It seems to be the thing they actually wanted. It's all good .

Bought $DIME on the cheap, then ran it up as a flex but got a little carried away as house liquidity got dumped back on me.

I consider it an exit gift for any airdrop receivers needing quick cash and I got a chance to test liquidity sell levels. it's all fair in market games . glad to show it a bit of support.

I left some for others to pick up cheaply also. who knows if anybody will carry the mantle

I am vested in helping dimely be a success over the long term

What dimely probably needs is another 10 people like me to come in , get behind it . Then together push out influence

Is 10 more people out there ? I don't know

Alex tweeting out Handcash interest was a good sign

In 1979, 11 people died at a Rolling Stones concert in Cincinnati. That event was supposed to the end of festival seating for concerts held in stadium venues

every generation repeats mistakes.

also there is video of a crowd crashing a gate to enter. who knows how many extra entered without tickets. soft-touch security probably cost lives

RIP those lost in Houston
