Clearmy guess is that it will matter over a long time, but there will never be one day of sudden change because they will always run narratives to counter it.

My initial theory was correct. It seems your local identity thinks that you have a new signing address, but this never made it on-chain. Easily fixable, by just rebroadcasting that signing address. I will add some code to do that later today.
