[About]

METAMASTERS is a Trading Card Game that revolves around the modern NET culture and aims to provide an entertaining and competitive pastime among players, using various elements found in every-day web culture such as cryptocurrencies, memes, internet legends, and other community provided content on the metaverse.

Players will encompass critical thinking skills, preparation, and a bit of luck to aid them to victory.

All cards used in-game are tokenized, permanently stored on the blockchain and can be collected and traded by their owners.

[Goal]

Play a combination of cards in your deck to destroy all opponent Token cards, while also defending yours from attacks.

The player who destroys all of their opponent's Token cards first wins the match.

You can also win the game by forcing your opponent to run out of cards to draw in their deck.

[Cards]

There are 4 Main types of cards:

TOKEN CARDS (GOLD)

You must have at least one Token card to play, players determine how many Token cards they want to play with, and usually start off with the same amount each. These cards are equivalent to your HP and will cost you the match if depleted to 0.

Each successful direct attack from an Opponent card will result in 1 Token card being destroyed.

There are many token cards with different designs but they all share equivalent value during each match.

ACTOR CARDS (RED)

These are your frontline battle cards with the ability to attack your opponent's Actor cards or Token cards. They are also used on the field to defend your Tokens from being destroyed. Some Actor cards have effects that can tremendously help you during the match. You can normally play 1 Actor card from your hand during one of your main phases once per your turn. There is no limit to the number of Actors that can be played through card effects.

If an Actor card is present on your opponent's side of the field, normally you must eliminate it before you can attack your opponent's Tokens directly with an Actor's attack.

A successful direct attack from an Actor will destroy 1 opponent token per attack, as long as its EGO value is above 0 during the attack.

Each Actor Card has 2 attributes:

EGO - This attribute is used in battle while the card is face-up in attack(vertical) position. During combat, you can only attack while in attack position, using only the EGO attribute.

INT - This attribute is used in battle while the card is either set (face-down) or face-up in defense(horizontal) position. You cannot attack your opponent using INT points.

There are 3 Actor Card Types:

∆ - These Actors can be played from your hand without prerequisites unless specifically stated on the card.

Ω - These Actors require you to sacrifice 1 Actor card on your side of the field to trash to play, unless the card specifies otherwise. They usually have higher stats.

∑ - These Actor cards usually require certain conditions to be met before you can play them. Follow the instructions on the card to play them.

LINK CARDS (BLUE)

These are cards you can play to attach to any Actor Card you have on your side of the field. Link cards provide various buffs and effects that can help your Actors on the field persevere through battle. You can normally play 1 Link Card during one of your Main Phases once per your turn. There is no limit to the number of Link cards that can be played through card effects.

Link cards remain attached to your Actor card once linked and cannot be removed other than by a card effect or if linked Actor leaves the field.

If the linked actor were to be removed from the field, all attached link cards on that Actor are sent to the Trash, unless effects specify otherwise.

You can normally attach as many link cards to an Actor as you want during the match.

SPECIAL CARDS (SILVER)

These cards carry a wide variety of effects and can be used to turn the tide of the match when played strategically. You can activate(face-up) or set(face-down) as many of these cards as space on your field allows. All prerequisites, if any specified on the card, must be met before use.

Special cards that are Set(face-down) do not have their effects activated until flipped and take 1 spot on the field.

There are 3 Special Card Types

Unmarked Special Cards can be played from your hand or activated if set on the field durning your main phases only. If Set during your turn, you must wait until your next turn to activate. Once this card is used, send it to Trash unless specified otherwise.

∞ - This type of Special card remains on the field once activated and normally, if face-up, its effect is continuous throughout the match until removed from the field. You can play these cards from your hand or set them during the Main Phases of your turn only.

» - You can activate or set these cards from your hand during the Main Phases of your turn only. This type of Special card can also be activated during any phase of any player's turn as long as it is already set on the field. These special cards can come in handy and quickly change the dynamic of the match. Once used, send to Trash unless specified otherwise.

[SETUP]

Each Player needs to have at least 33 cards in their deck and a max of 55, excluding the Token cards, you can only have up to 3 copies of the same card in your deck.

The field is structured as follows:

Opponent's Side

Your Side

A/L A/L A/L T E

S S S D

A/L(Actor/Link) - These are spots available for Actor and Link Cards. Only 1 Actor can be played or set in one of these spots at a time and all Link cards are attached to their selected Actor Card. If all spots are filled, you cannot play any actors until one leaves the field.

S(Special) - These are spots available for Special Cards. only 1 Special Card can be set or activated in one of these spots at a time. Make sure to set the ones you actually need on the field because if all spots are filled, you cannot play any special cards until one leaves the field.

T(Trash) - All cards removed from the field sent to Trash are placed face-up in this spot. Cards placed here cannot attack and effects are negated unless specified otherwise.

D(Deck) - This is the space for your Deck, the pile of cards you draw from each turn.

E(Exile) - This spot is reserved for cards you have Exiled from the match. Cards usually end up here only if specific conditions are met. Cards placed here cannot attack and effects are negated unless specified otherwise.

[HOW TO PLAY]

Opponents are on the opposite sides of the field, facing each other.

At the beginning of each match, establish how many Token Cards you will be playing with (1 Token = 1 HP). Both players normally start off with the same amount of Token Cards each.

Decide who gets the first turn.

Each player then shuffles their deck, and draws 5 cards.

Each player turn is divided up into phases in this order:

Phase 1(Draw): During this phase, draw the top card from your deck, unless it is the 1st turn of the match.

Phase 2(Standby): Transition between Draw and Main Phase. Certain effects are active during this phase, proceed to phase 3 normally.

Phase 3(Main): This is your primary setup phase. Use this phase to play/set Actor Cards, Link Cards, or activate/set any Special Cards. You can change the battle position of your Actor Cards during this phase, unless it is the first turn of the match. Card effects can also be used during this phase.

Play - When playing an Actor, you place it on the field face-up vertically(attack position), when played, the effects of the card are activated, the EGO attribute is used during battle and the Actor can attack the opponent. Actors played during the first turn of the match cannot change their battle position during any main phase. When playing a Special card this way, you also activate their effects immediately.

Set - When setting an Actor, you place it face-down in the horizontal position. The Actor cannot attack and its effects are not activated while in this position. Actors in this position use the INT attribute when attacked during battle. If a set actor is attacked during battle, you must flip it face-up, still horizontally(defense position) to perform damage calculation, and keep it face up for the remainder of its time on the field. Actor effects are also activated once it is face up. All Actor cards set during a turn cannot be flipped that same turn unless attacked. Link cards cannot be set and must always be played normally.

If you set a Special card, it is placed face-down vertically, and its effects are not activated until flipped. You cannot activate a set Special card during the same phase it was set in.

Phase 4(Battle): This phase is skipped during the first turn of the match. This is the phase in which any of your Actor cards in attack position can attack your opponent. Each of your actors can only attack once unless an effect specifies otherwise. You can choose any Actor Card on your opponent's side of the field to attack, as long as no card effect prevents you from doing so. During each attack, enter the damage calculation:

Damage Calculation

  1. Factor in stat increases/decreases and effects from all card effects.

2a. Your Actor attacks an opponent Actor in attack position:

a. If your Actor's EGO is higher than your Opponent's, send their Actor to trash

b. If their EGO is higher, your Actor goes to trash.

2b. Your Actor attacks an opponent Actor in defense or set face-down position: Flip the card if set face-down.

a. If their INT is higher than your Actor's EGO, negate the attack, your actor's battle position is changed for the rest of the turn.

b. If your Actor's EGO is higher than your Opponent's INT, send their Actor to trash.

If your opponent has no Actor on their side of the field. Your Actors can attack an opponent directly, destroy 1 opponent Token Card per attack.

Phase 5(Main): This is your second setup phase. You can play Actor or Link cards from your hand only if you did not use your last Main phase to play any, you can change the battle position of only Actor Cards you did not attack with during the Battle Phase if it is not the first turn of the match.

You can still activate or set any special cards during this phase.

Phase 6(End): This is the end of your turn. Certain card effects can be active during this phase. Proceed to the next player's turn.

The match ends when: a player, during their draw phase, has no more cards left in their deck to draw therefore loses the match, or a player destroys all of their opponent's Token Cards, winning the match.

BSV creates and expands markets, enabled by low fee transactions and immutable storage.

that's BSV value prop in 1 line IMO

So what about those markets?

what markets cannot benefit from

Attestable users acting on public ledger

lower friction

more transparent ( more fair- people need to understand the value of a fairer market )

worth your running with

dont even need to use words like enterprise or blockchain

Taal is actually one of the best stories for investors to get interested in BSV.

If they get to the point of believing Taal is a good investment, they they will look at all of BSV differently.

Personally with people I know, they never cared about all my BSV talk until I began talking about Taal. They easily got quite interested in that.

Most people into crypto as speculative investing don't care about BSV. We all know that.

The problem with 'BSV is Bitcoin' among those aware of crypto is their ears immediately turn off. They think you are a shill.

The problem with "enterprise blockchain" is most enterprises looked at blockchain in 2017. They decided it was a lot of hype, or didn't have the fit for their needs, and some went with private chain tech from consulting firms. When they hear "BSV can do X' is that people don't care because the hype cycle is long over.

At this point there are two things, people might care

'You want to do X? Here use this great app.'

and

'This company X is making tons of money. And you know what? They did this they using BSV '
