Love where this platform is going. I see that the feeds display twetch posts, does it also mean we are posting to twetch ? And is there a goal to aggregate content from different protocols ? the cost to post is pretty high though, this is already estimated at $0.08

These people are only "nice weather" politicians. Everything is about the optics, but when real leadership is needed, you see them fail spectacularly.

That is a great point. Inflation has been hidden away, so we don't notice we are being robbed.

I wish I had good answer for getting more people.

Powping tried to be more like reddit. Groups/"Channels" only help it extend life 6 months before it went dead anyway.

twetch doesn't break 1000 posts a day most days and their new user rate has slowed below BSV growth. Twetch loses new users due to its higher costs.

For messaging, maybe can work out a plan to work with bob team (Vincent) and get that working and linked from 'messages' here. Bob is kind of stuck lately but it would be good to have.

New faces show up on Relica occasionally. Relica's potential for a female-oriented IG experience is great, so there might be some stuff to be learned by that.

RelayX REX is booming, so NFT is a user interest area. I like their recent feed and 'Creator' additions.

Maybe need to find an user interest area that suits this. One path is to tap into this NFT interest. Mornin.run is just data, so it would be nice to have a feed here that assists talking about what's happening with the NFTs.

I was looking at multi-player gaming over BSV social, which is why I came up with the Byzantine Tribes game concept. But people need to see the concept to be interested. There is a bit more infrastructure that should still be built to do it.

For people who leave behind twitter/FB to go to alt social, like gab, parler, or more recently gettr, how do we get them to want to be on BSV and public ledger? I've tried reaching to people on alt social for a year to figure this out. 95% of them are stuck on a stupid old mindset, and 5% are brainwashed crypto people. Most can't even be moved to try it.

Then there is the RealWorld approach, which might help. It's not an easy path though. I'd help sponsor that type of work for blockpost if the forum is right.

my reply there had 10 paragraphs, but if the reader doesn't click through, it appears as though there were only the first 7.

A good barometer of long term inflation is the cost of a traditional men's shoe with genuine leather stacked heel and sole.

Up to 70's, these shoes were all made in USA. Every man had a pair. 70's inflation led many manufacturers to import them.

Up to early 1980s, it was the standard men's dress shoe in the mall, even though lower priced rubber sole boat shoes became popular. They weren't cheap, but a pair would last one year.

By '90 is was only the upper 50% of shoes. By 2000, it was the upper 1/3 or 1/4 of shoes. By 2010, it was only the top 10% of shoes. For the last decade, we seen these selections thin out from premium brands like Frye and Cole-Haan

Post-2020, they have been disappearing from premium brands and can only be found in near-luxury and luxury brands.

The basic leather stacked-heel and sole men's shoe, once a shoe of the everyman, is now a shoe of the 1%

When the government measures price inflation, they don't fix it to the exact product. This inflation in leather goods of a shoe is not measured at all. The term they use is "hedonic adjustment". People buy a foam sole shoe today instead. A guy pays $60-$80 and the Feds say prices have only gone up 1.5% a year for the last 40 years.

That exact $35 shoe from 1981, $300 in 2010, $350 in 2015, is $500 in 2021.
