Peloton is trying to make a safe treadmill after home safety issues of their first one.

I think it's quite hard to make a completely safe motorized treadmill.

I prefer running on the trails outdoors myself. I never use the treadmillls.

Exercise bikes are ok for a few minutes if you need to get heart rate going indoors
