Thanks for info!

Very helpful. I sat around for an hour or two other night trying to figure out how to get my Twetch posts over, thinking everyone else had managed to do it and I was just an idiot.

For anyone following this thread, the Stearns example can be seen by looking at the two accounts:

@xQNDXjtw is the one he personally created while @ATFApSCD is the account using unencrypted Twetch posts

Looking forward to watching Blockpost grow and maybe learning how to leverage some of this tech myself!

I see a couple posters responding from the Blockpost platform

This guy will probably not see handles posted on Blockpost

This is an unencrypted post made through the Twetch platform that is displayed here

This user may not even know the Blockpost site exists or that his posts are displayed here

One more follow-up

Have you considered adding a Twetch logo to the profiles that are unencrypted Twetch posts

It'd be easier than having to click a profile to see who is an active Blockpost user

To those who fear a virus for which the vast majority it's only a minor illness, perhaps should heed the words of C.S. Lewis, who when talking about the then new fear of atomic war said the following in 1948:

“How are we to live in an atomic age?” I am tempted to reply: “Why, as you would have lived in the sixteenth century when the plague visited London almost every year, or as you would have lived in a Viking age when raiders from Scandinavia might land and cut your throat any night; or indeed, as you are already living in an age of cancer, an age of syphilis, an age of paralysis, an age of air raids, an age of railway accidents, an age of motor accidents.”

I walked into a restaurant to have dinner the other day…

Hostess: Hello.

Me: Hi, table for two, please.

H: Sure, and your name.

M: Black

H: Great. And do you and your guest have your vaccination cards?

M: We do….Can you tell us who our server will be?

H: Um, looks like Tom will be your server tonight.

M: Great. Can you show us Tom’s vaccination card?

H: Um…

M: And also, can you provide me with proof that Tom is not a carrier of HIV, Hepatitis A or B, or any other communicable diseases?

H: Um…

M: Also, we would prefer not to be served by someone who is on or uses recreational drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, meth, fentanyl, etc, so if you could provide us with Tom’s most recent tox screen, that would be great.

H: Um… Let me get the manager for you.

M: That would be great, thanks.

Fair is fair.

Hi Daniel,

No worries, it's new, so, logically, there are questions.

The Twetch posts that are put on-chain in plan text are indexed by BlockPost, as the Twetch posts adhere to the BitcoinSchema protocol. We index everything that adheres to that protocol, so the Twetch posts are actually all here as a side effect of Twetch also using that protocol (although not 100%).

Stearns, as far as we know, only has 1 profile, on Twetch. The Twetch profiles that you see on BLockPost are "read-only", meaning that you cannot log in to BlockPost with that profile and post. This is because Twetch does not (yet) allow you to move your profile with your data. BlockPost does allow you to export your identity data. You can see this on your Profile page.

It's very early days for the BitcoinSchema protocols, and BlockPost. We will post more information and publish more tools to interact with the network in the coming months.

Stay tuned.

My apologies for the initial misguided alarmism. I did not mean to imply that anything nefarious was going on.

I still have some questions about the platform though.

@Blockpost, is there a simply way to link one's real profile to their posts?

As it stands, Stearns has 2 profiles, one that pulls his unencrypted Twetch posts, which he does not have access to, and another which has access to but that does not pull his Twetch posts?

My guess is that requires diving further into the dev side to solve, but figured I'd ask.

BlockPost is part of an open network of posts posted to the Bitcoin blockchain. Anything that adheres to the standards () will be indexed and displayed on BlockPost.

The Twetch posts that are visible have all been posted onchain, without encryption, and are therefore easily indexed and displayed. There are no funds involved, so nothing is being lost. Likes, comments and replies on BlockPost are not indexed by Twetch and will therefore not show up on Twetch.

There is nothing neferious happening here.
