Well, BSV has created a way to seize assets and confiscate funds without redoing the Proof of Work. So nothing is really permanent, you never know.

What is the big deal. If you are enterprise and get hacked and have no way to get your property back would you adopt? It's also childish to believe that you can live outside of law, as if because you had this exterior medium of exchange that you could put government in it's place. You resolve almost everything in dollars so how can you have this work outside of law? You want better law it's going to take a lot more than picking a coin. The thing that scares you most is precisely the thing that you will end up with. DAR or no DAR. "I'm worried about govt seizing my coins, but if it's stolen it's fair game".

Confiscation isn't the only way to get your property back. You can always find the thieves, like with any other stolen property.
Once the thieves are identified, you force them to return the property. That's what we do with everything else, isn't it?
Why should Bitcoin in that regard be any different than everything else?
Because it can. Because it's similar but unlike everything else. None of this means you don't have an investigation.

That's an entirely different thing than confiscation, which comes with obvious risks.
Abusive confiscation is not really a reality. If it were, we'd have much bigger problems.
