Confiscation isn't the only way to get your property back. You can always find the thieves, like with any other stolen property.

Once the thieves are identified, you force them to return the property. That's what we do with everything else, isn't it?

Why should Bitcoin in that regard be any different than everything else?

That's an entirely different thing than confiscation, which comes with obvious risks.

Abusive confiscation is not really a reality. If it were, we'd have much bigger problems.

You already have abuse of government. You can't avoid abuse of government, DAR or no DAR. That is unless you think there will be a coordinated effort to change government, which I wouldn't hold my breath for.

Again, these are silly fears. Abuse of government, abuse of skilled hackers.
