Like it or not, Boost is great infrastructure to implementing a MLM scheme. Of course MLM is only viable for marketing products created by entities comfortable with continual PoW.

Synergy. This idea of marketing posts applies to your Reddit work-alike too. The more people making money with BSV businesses, the less chance BSV will go to zero like BTC. Read more @39 posts.

I'm hoping @4 will implement it because information/twetches as a product solves all the Achilles heels of traditional MLM: 1. Product easy to knock off 2. low level peeps are the losers. This is so because you'd never be forced to market loser products.

That's good to hear. Because reconstructing a hierarchy of the spread of exposure to content would be essential for implementing complex fee structures associated with marketing.

Also, posters should be able to submit retraction posts that client side Twetch respects by not showing "deleted" twetches .. effectively opening the door for deletion or editing of posts. This increases exposure and presentation of good content==$$

Thanks for branching my Twetch. I appreciate you paying 3 cents to branch it despite the fact that, in theory, all it took to branch is a store reference to content already stored on chain. Of course branching with comment should be more expensive.

Well an immediate example is that branching without comments ought to be implemented so that it costs nearly nothing..as theoretically that post is mostly a reference to content already on chain. Wider exposure of content == more income for content.

17mNxa…zGjY Key · twetch

@24 Essentially Boosts seem like votes for content. I see lots of potential for this, especially in marketing. Does an individual Boost also provide reference to who brought the voter to the voting booth?

17mNxa…zGjY Key · twetch

I have enough experience with marketing and economics to help people actually make money with their projects.

17mNxa…zGjY Key · twetch

Boost marketing: Individuals Boost thereby opting into marketing income and initiating branching of target post. Boost includes flat fees for Twetch cut, Boost fee. Also includes marketing fees calculated based on prior boosts. All fees sent at once.

17mNxa…zGjY Key · twetch

I hate to be critical. But it's almost like the economics of Twetch have been designed for content creators NOT to make money. The problem with that is that the good content does not get nearly the exposure it should get.

17mNxa…zGjY Key · twetch

Next to no thought has been given to fee structure on Twetch. It should be less than 1 cent to branch a Twetch because branching is effectively marketing. It vastly increases the probability the content creator will make money.

If I can help just a few people start building for themselves, I'll have grown the pie more than if I'd just built something for myself.

But to effectively help others, I have to learn enough to be helpful, and what better way than to build for myself?

17mNxa…zGjY Key · twetch

@4 I haven't given up Twitter because even though there is better content on Twetch, there is better curation on Twitter. Certain people retweet and make high quality feeds that I appreciate and save me time. My recent posts give clue on how to fix that.

You're missing the point. For me, time is money. If people are making money making great content, or as curators, it saves me a lot of time and I get great information more efficiently.

Right now I have a hard time justifying to myself why I bother w SM.

People need to be able to make real money with Twetch. Right now people can make tiny amounts of money after a lot of work. I have suggested implementing Boost and MLM fee structure, but what do i know.

@4 Well hoping he does it soon. By Pareto analysis, it's probably should be priority number one if that analysis is based on Twetch being significantly more profitable within the shortest amount of time. Twetch UX is already very good.

@4 OK, you have a new economic model that will definitely work..when implement? I'm actually excited about Boost now. With Boost and a MLM model, people going to be able to honestly make bank on Twetch.

17mNxa…zGjY Key · twetch

@24 Sorry if it seems like I'm trying to MLM Boost, but essentially that's the case. The product is info and just like MLM if the product is shitty and too expensive, it fails. But Boost would ensure the product will be good.

17mNxa…zGjY Key · twetch

@24 I think Boost is a mechanism creating the foundation of a sustainable business model for something like Twetch. All it lacks is for signal recipients getting a cut of subsequent Boost loot. But that seems trivial to implement.

Done. Thanks for the encouragement.

I looked at your Boost Whitepaper and saw nothing to contradict my initial intuition. Boost is good for Many-to-one and Many-to-Many signals...but one-to-one and one-to-many are natively handled well by Bitcoin without adding this layer of abstraction.

My response was hasty and I should have done my research before posting it. I suck at social media.

Anyways, you might have more luck getting a free interview if you collaborate with him on the format to increase the value of the interview for him.

17mNxa…zGjY Key · twetch

@24 Sometimes a costly signal just means that the person is signaling bad judgement. This is often the case.

17mNxa…zGjY Key · twetch

When you see price go up on BTC, it's easy to think,"Wow the world really wants amateur bitcoin that's painful to use." But the truth is people are just trading on exchanges and have no idea how bad BTC user experience is.

17mNxa…zGjY Key · twetch

Anybody got any "BTC so bad that.." jokes? Here's mine that I posted on Twitter:

BTC is so bad there are enough gold bugs like Peter Schiff to make it buckle like a bitch. It's the dial up modem of bitcoins.

It's not too funny, but it's true.

Common Core is fundamentally a good way to teach math. Boomers shouldn't try to teach it. Check out Khan Academy if you want to see common core taught right.

If you think Common Core is stupid, you were taught math like a monkey learning tricks..sorry.

If you memorize the 12 word phrase of your deterministic wallet, you'll always be able to get your Bitcoin back without involving third party. Possibly a way to bootstrap your life if dropped naked somewhere.

Come to think of it I could use a new life.

17mNxa…zGjY Key · twetch

Have no intention of being Smaug and sitting atop of physical gold and silver. I'd rather memorize 12 words. It's not that hard really if you try. Make up a plausible outlandish story to memorize. It's fun.

On one hand, it's really Orwellian that Youtube is shutting down crypto channels. On the other hand, I'm happy to see the clowns lose revenue. The crypto clownfest must end.
