I'm talking about infrastructure issues so the comparison is valid. It's actually quite irrelevant if the vulnerabilities are exploited or not. Either voting needs to go to some blockchain auditable solution or go back to paper only.

It's convenient that "winners" won't admit that there are objective vulnerabilities to the US voting system. It's like BTC. Because they get the results they want (number go up), they conveniently ignore that 7TPS will never work for any use case at scale.
Whoever "wins" the US election, the election was stolen. In the year 2020, it is negligent to have a voting system that is so vulnerable to tampering.
I feel guilty because I find the BTC hot potato game very exciting, but at the same time I feel bad that people will get wrecked. But I console myself that people really should do their own thinking about BTC limitations rather than be sheeple.
I've been pleased that the BSV community at large has become comfortable with pimping Bitcoin to make adoption happen. I feel like I'm watching people grow up! It's not about embracing scams. It's about assimilation. I am Peterus of Bitcoin.
The hard truth about BSV is, until it's obvious that it is eating EVERYTHING, that you can probably expect price to merely keep up with inflation. The good / bad news about that is that inflation is imminent due to rampant money printing.
If BTC hadn't been so limited it would still have dumped..but it would not have pumped or dumped to the extent it did. When it finally clicks in peoples' heads, growth on the real Bitcoin will be exponential.
The stall is due to artificially constrained supply so the price shoots up far more than it should. The price shoots up so high that the exchanges literally run out of fools willing to pay such a high price. Then comes the race to the bottom.
BTCers don't know that FOMO bull-runs must result in a price crash. The price shoots up & stops due to failure of new BTC getting to the exchanges because of on-chain congestion. Then traders see that buying has stalled and race to sell top/stop loss.
If you live in the US, what is your favorite onramp to buy BSV?
If you're developing BSV apps, of course you should support other crypto crap. Get them using your tech under the hood. Then when that tech fails they'll migrate over to BSV because fundamentally it's the only thing that is not crap.
Will I walk away from BSV? Not if it keep scaling. Not if it keeps getting better and more approachable to outsiders. If it stays an opaque black box of weirdos working on pet projects and raw writing to Bitcoin, maybe.
Maybe I would believe that Twetch could be The interface to Bitcoin if it was on blockchain as a pure Metanet site.
Tokens are a fundamental data type of Metanet. WTF is so hard about understanding that? It's not about a shitcoin market.
Imagine if you had a Tether-like token. If a BoostPOW was attached to it, you can rest assured that they couldn't print a billion of them over night.
I am hoping for tokens on BSV. I would like them to be BoostPOW associated to know that they weren't free. And that they cannot be instantly instantiated. And I would also want them to be backed by a real world products or services.
Simple answer. You want to drag people into your confused world.
You think you can costly signal with a Boost. But strangers don't know you. They don't know if it's costly for you. They'll assume not. You guys are disconnected.
I am utterly defeated by your cleverness.
Yes I'm a spammer. Discernment is strong with you. Even come up with your own flavor of ad hominem. You think I care if you get rekt? A little honestly. But I'm over it.
I don't know why the terms costly and expensive are considered synonyms. It can be demonstrated that costly does not imply expensive. And expensive does not imply costly. There is no equivalence.
I've come to terms with the idea that a lot of BSVers are going all in on BoostPOW. I attribute it to not having enough experience in life to understand that nothing about BoostPOW creates costly signaling. Expensive signaling yes..costly no.
Since I don't understand Metanet, I think I'll play with learning how to do smart contracts for a while.
We need to work together to build powerful things. Priority number one should be a big undeniable win for BSV.
What if if we could somehow use a deterministic wallet to implement a locking mechanism? And what if we start thinking of a binary file as a filesystem itself for the purpose of generating diff files? This is just brainstorming.
Yes you have to use a linked list.
Essentially rebuilding the latest version of a file is a matter of pushing diff references to a stack until you get to the original file then you pop the diff references off the stack and apply the diffs until the stack is empty.
There's really only one way to have dynamic files on Bitcoin. You write the original. Then you write diff files. To restore the newest file you must chronologically "apply" changes. Apps have to respect the diff files. And you have either have a pointer...
That is an interesting hack. Would be better to come up with something less of a hack. Most of the time a change leaves most of the file unchanged. A file format that that works like a tape backup would work well.
point at the latest diff. Or you have an array of diff records. Each record contains the latest diff and the previous diff that was applied. So you have a chain of diff records. With the array of diff records, you could discover the latest diff.
*More accurately the diff records contain references to diff files.
