Once it's done live on-chain as a result of real world demand 24/7 for months on end, then - and only then - is word kept. Until then it's a very good theoretical and test environment baby steps but promising netherless. Building it and still near no-one comes to the party will be a colossal failure, and that unfortunately is still a possibility. Non-zero percent chance of success. Maybe, just maybe it works out.

Yeah we need something to happen like price decoupling from the rest of the market to make the devs on other chains notice BSV and want to build on it.

Welcome to 2019...
Well I'm sure 2020 will be good right. What could possibly go wrong in 2020.
BTC will no longer be around in 2020,
so there is that to look forward too
There is still time left (one week to go) for this prediction to be fulfilled. On Twitter 27 August 2021, “Coinbase will not exist in 5 years because of ignoring BSV and customers". Calvin. He was replying to the Coingeek article "Coinbase ignores pleas of hacked customers, but the law offers a solution”
Of course, LaW.
I saw someone on the Babbage meet up a few weeks ago saying the miners need to run Teranode and drop BSV node to be able push the super high tps numbers BSV is capable of. A sustained high tps test could get attention.
