Ok got you. Yeah i kinda bundle up libertarians with republicans a bit. Reason i single out libertarians is because i see the theory as good but no one actually doing it. I believe the most basic government is "it takes a village to raise a child" /1

That means in modern terms it takes a country to raise a child And we can go back and forth all day about ideologies and beliefs but history says that diversity is best Which mean being exposed to different views and different beliefs. Where you can choose

This is why I was serious about the assessment. No one is defined by political party really. Not 100%. Unless you're just picking a team for the sake of it. But you can find those who you identify with most. Not trying to recruit you, just enlighten 🙂

Isn't "progressive" code word for commie?

The tricky thing about progress is it can be difficult to determine if an action will result in progress or regress, moreso at scale. And regress can be deliberately sold as progress. See exhibit a: communism.

Because it destroys the entire 2 party system and puts the people in power, not individuals seeking the power to control. Its a hard fight. Doesnt mean its not worth it. But the lack of Lib reps simply reinforces the genuine desire to live and let live.

But think about it. Are people good or bad? Let not say bad lets say "make bad decisions". History tells us people generally make bad decisions. Thats why laws are in place. Its only because of history. We have to learn from the past. Libertarians can only

Live in a society with other libertarians because you have to all share the same values and rules. Like right now are you truly libertarian? The answer is no because you have to cave to what the majority of society agrees with.

First sentence is fundamentally flawed bc the goal is to let people govern their own lives how they see fit. Not impose on others. But bc i live in society where majority doesnt agree with me doesnt change my opinion. I just dont try to change theirs.

Okay, this first. I think mostly people are disingenuous. Not bc they were born that way but bc society has approved criticism of the "wrong" beliefs or ones not consistent with yours. Bad decisions are personal responsibilities. Nobdy wants thought police
