50%! It's no small wonder that they have as much money as they do. You do all of the work and they host it. That does not sound like a 50/50 split to me.

Yep, crazy. Vimeo you get 90% though you do have to pay a yearly fee of about $200 for them to host. Obviously there is much less foot fall on Vimeo.
That's an interesting decision to have to make. I suppose it's a solid decision if you plan to release several projects a year. Footfall is an important point. But then it could also be argued that you are more likely to be lost in the noise on Amazon.
