It is okay to bust people for cleaning money obtained by illegal means (drugs, child porn, and other disgusting means). But, they are busting people for cleaning digital assets obtained by blogging or mining. Not illegal work!

That's not how I read the article. They were going after a dark Web mixer service.

That said, I don't know who would want to clean freshly mined coins.

I meant that if you have coins you mined yourself, you can prove how you got them legally. Maybe I'm missing something in your argument?
