I was making a ginger starter for a while that class container looks perfect for it. don't know what your plugs measure but they are awesome is it pressure?

The plug I. The top is an “air lock” since everything is sanitized at the begining the yeasy becomes the dominant organism in the mix. And fights off any kind of mold or fungus that could ruin the wine. This airlock lets the CO2 produced from the yeast to escape while preventing any outside air from entering the container

The glass container is called a carboy typically they are either 5 or 6 gallon can get them for about $40 from a home brewing store
