Korea has a very different perspective on cryptocurrency than the English world. They like utility tokens and short-term / get rich quick type of trading, as opposed to digital gold narratives.
anonymous2.3y
Granted, I think there's plenty of opportunities for trading throughout the trial period, especially when it's trading being done in Korean. There's a whole language barrier on top of confusing information about the trial.
anonymous2.3y
Are there any Korean BSV user communities?
anonymous2.3y
Just increased short-trading interest in and of itself can lead to an elevated intrinsic value, but again Korea is very focused on short-term trading as opposed to long-term value.
anonymous2.3y
BSV's value is way more than what its price has been, just there's been a conspiracy of silence about it by the various parties who'd like to buy coin at $50, especially calvin who's been avoiding buying on the market in order to buy sneakily w/ hash
anonymous2.3y
i mean if there's anyone left who'll sell at $50 then people are going to keep trying to buy at that price, but ah, they might have just run out
anonymous2.3y
I don't know, something feels off.
anonymous2.3y
so like the actual sellers are just a tiny trickle of people who happen to want to buy something or never knew what bsv is and they're randomly moving around crypto capital or w/e, tiny little stream of that, & the short sellers have been patiently buying some from people who happen to sell when it's low & then using a bunch of those coins to smack the price down whenever it tries to pop up
anonymous2.3y
some visible noisy korean buyers plus calvin trying to quietly take a bunch of what was available off the market combined to break out the price, now presumably there's both people selling short w/ leverage betting that they can get it back down to $50 and also people taking profits who bought at $30, leading to the new consensus price being around $100 where those traders who doubled or tripled their money on smth they have no clue about are going to take their mysterious winnings for a while
anonymous2.3y
then if there continues to be buying pressure which uh there pretty much definitely will be, calvin said he's going to just start buying more openly now which does make sense for him to do, & um, there aren't going to be LESS people knowing as we get closer to the trial, so if that buys out all of those traders (which is tiny amounts in the big picture) then next it'll break the shorts & then phew
anonymous2.3y
there are a bunch of people who think they're incredibly smart for shorting bsv, they've been helping it to have supply at low prices by risking capital every time it gets to the top of any range betting on it going down, which is a winning bet whenever it's true that the demand isn't able to break it out of the range, they've been able to rebuy when the price gets discouraged & they've been solvent doing that for years
anonymous2.3y
I start to wonder: do I have the story backwards? I'm open to correction.
anonymous2.3y
I'm open to being corrected. I am. I just haven't been corrected yet.
anonymous2.3y
However, if his claims about some of the BTC devs are unsubstantiated from any source aside from his own writing, then I start to view some people as anti-villains as well.
anonymous2.3y
As far as this rally goes, I'm really concerned about the low volume of BSV tx on what's on chain as well as several devs appearing to behave in a way to rug other users.
anonymous2.3y
I am open to being corrected. Craig can reach out. Hell, I emailed him for clarification. The problem is, I can accept Craig as an anti-hero.
anonymous2.3y
The main problem, for me, is I'm losing faith in Craig. I've realized some of the things he has written may have been exaggerated unsubstantiated claims about other people's characters.
anonymous2.3y
At that point, if the hero of a story has acted poorly, the villains of the story haven't done the things the hero claimed, then
anonymous2.3y
hm? sure he exaggerates when he's talking shit about people ,, like he said about greg maxwell supporting cyber ransom that's an exaggeration of they were doing some sort of thought experiment about what sort of programs you could write in script to guarantee ransom payment which uh, is reasonable to do from a security perspective & that's an unfair spin on it
anonymous2.3y
you're talking about it as if Dr Wright were the leader of anything & it mattered whether or not he's a nice person,,, Dr Wright is a brilliant inventor & among many other things invented us Bitcoin, a system where it DOES NOT MATTER that he's an asshole
anonymous2.3y
like if someone started telling you how the problem w/ the web is that tim berners-lee is a terrible person, you wouldn't feel like you should defend tim's honor, instead you'd just say, uh what? it's just html, we know how it works, it's not like tim runs it, that way of looking at this system just doesn't make sense
anonymous2.3y
How much trust is required for the BSV ecosystem to continue to operate? For example, let's say worst case extreme scenario, Calvin dies tomorrow and all funding dries up. How resilient is BSV?
anonymous2.3y
Perhaps that kind of impact is felt here: https://ayre.group/investments/
anonymous2.3y
Calvin knows nothing about implementing the patent portfolio, so his role is as a manager and hypeman, which he's clearly also mediocre at, i mean bless him for saving Bitcoin but it really doesn't matter
anonymous2.3y
wait, Craig gave Rory a USB stick w/ a bunch of files after that signing session--- apparently what Rory said about it was just that nobody clearly explained to him what the files he was given were--- um-- i just wondered if it's possible he just has a craig=satoshi signature & hasn't bothered to check it
anonymous2.3y
craig accused him of editing their interview to put different questions w/ answers, & then Rory didn't even respond like nuh-uh did not i would never, afaik ,,, awkward
anonymous2.3y
how much does a bitchat message cost these days anyway
anonymous2.3y
3 sats is the answer
anonymous2.3y
so cheap & yet so quiet
anonymous2.3y
Bitchat owners haven't marketed this in a long time, or ever. 🤷‍♀️
anonymous2.3y
bitchat isn't something that can have owners ,, i've marketed it a little
anonymous2.3y
Although I think I'm currently in the 9th circle of Hell for treachery, but I like you pope so I'll chat with you here lol.
anonymous2.3y
Are you still banned from r/BSV or nah?
anonymous2.3y
Uh, I guess I haven't been talking with you here Pope, so that affects the flow of conversation too.
anonymous2.3y
Is this on-chain
anonymous2.3y
yeah they were really weird about it when they banned me from /r/bsv ,, they very deliberately stated a bullshit excuse before each time suspending me for longer & longer & then they were very stiffly like, ok, for a genuine reason i will now permaban you
anonymous2.3y
but like the reasons were like, you have to retract saying that i'm lying, or you're accusing me of being a liar which is totally a fair & square bannable offense,, i mean i disagreed w/ them but i don't even remember calling them liars, idk probably they just said that b/c they are in fact lying, i think whoever's running /r/bsv knows the fucking deal which is uh weird
anonymous2.3y
yup this is on the chain & theoretically works by indexing which is why it only kinda works
anonymous2.3y
there's no way the /r/bsv people are really just authentically "attacking" by reposting everything i say there ,,, which one of you is the inside agent lol ,,, now will the core mole here on bitchat catch on now that i said this ,,,...,,,...,,, look this has been fun but are we blasting off out of this ridiculous web place yet omg
anonymous2.3y
Isn't that one of the hijacked reddits? If that is the case, then Reddit should be contacted and asked to fix the situation. :-) It's like if /r/sweden was hijacked with the intention to just slander everything Swedish. I mean of course they do have that surströmming, rotten fish, as a delicacy, but there's so much more to Sweden. And BSV has their own surströmmings-equivalents, but there too is so much more, like cool places where to shitpost... as I'm demonstrating here.
anonymous2.3y
There are crazy over-zealous mods on both the pro and con BSV subreddits IMO
anonymous2.3y
Anyway, I was only asking since I can't talk to you on r/bitcoincashsv sub anymore, but I can use r/bsv, so I was hoping you'd make an appearance again soon. Lol.
anonymous2.3y
Honestly, I think the r/bsv people kind of like you. https://www.reddit.com/r/bsv/comments/19372yv/in_which_beubsub_moderators_remove_excellent/
anonymous2.3y
[Link](https://www.reddit.com/r/bsv/comments/19372yv/in_which_beubsub_moderators_remove_excellent/)
anonymous2.3y
I mean, I would probably be the closest thing to an inside agent, since r/bitcoincashsv believes I'm a Greg Maxwell sock-puppet and banned me. But that's not what's going on. You just became an r/BSV meme IMO.
anonymous2.3y
well i've been imagining for a while making /r/bsvai so i just made that ,, just a temporary project, feel free to post w/e if it's vaguely on-topic for bsv+ai
anonymous2.3y
so like i guess it's time for BSV to admit that the indexers thing was a dead end, huh ,,,,,, seems like it's going to take a while to turn that ship
anonymous2.3y
^ TAAL has the good old WhatsOnChain.com which has an API for keeping track of interesting stuff in the blockchain. Their Boost package costs 45 USD per month, and Professional package is 95 USD. If these services at those prices aren't used to keep track of where token sails, then such tokens aren't worth much. 🛶
anonymous2.3y
I like both of you (pete and mungo) so just giving my two cents for your sake :p, agree or disagree.
anonymous2.3y
But then you could look at alternative systems, because I think any gaming app sounds like it needs its own overlay node to do any volume ?
anonymous2.3y
I think it's time to head to the lifeboats before the exit rally ends and before COPA starts, but maybe I'm just a pessimist. And I don't like to give financial advice, but I honestly don't think Craig wins, and I don't know that anyone wants the Teranode system that's been proposed. Maybe it could be used for gaming?
anonymous2.3y
um i'm someone who wants Teranode, wdym ,, i'm just glad they're bothering to make it so i don't have to try to figure out how to do it myself ,, it obviously needs to be done, what are you going to run Bitcoin on that 90s style monolithic code forever?! not a realistic option
anonymous2.3y
wow, they brought a turtleneck for dr wright to wear so they could dress him up looking jobsy , , that's uh , , superficial of them
anonymous2.3y
really not long left now ,,,, everybody ready??
anonymous2.3y
What's going on? :-)
anonymous2.2y
hm everything still quiet ,, even more quiet 🦗

One thing I have to constantly ask myself: Why do certain people like to spend actual time denegrating BSV and Craig Wright? I dealt my entire career with frauds, shorting bad products and companies, and when the short was over, I never bothered to even find out what the perps were doing afterwards. But wierdly, people like Arthur Van Pelt and Greg Maxwell seem to have found a career of attacking BSV and Wright. It makes no sense. Any NORMAL person would just ignore it, and work in areas where they can be productive. Call that btc or LN or eth or DogWifhat or CumRocket, but those people supporting those things, aren't spending time criticizing Dr. Craig S. Wright and Bitcoin Satoshi Vision. So I'm immediately suspect of anyone doing this. Plus, all the recent critics who were once supposed BSV supporters, seems to be raising money for some competitive solution.
anonymous2.1y
Who is Jendalyn? Seems to be everywhere, and a big fan of Reddit, which is Greg Maxwell's hangout.
anonymous2.1y
Been awhile since I've been on here, but didn't quite understand how to use it last time, and still a little bit in the ark.
anonymous2.1y
Also, how does this chat site use BSV?
anonymous2.1y
so Jendalyn, which camp do you find yourself? Are you denegrating BSV and Wright bc you're about to try to market to people in the world's smallest digital coin (BSV), or are you getting paid somehow to crap down the neck of people who aren't believing what Jack Dorsey, Coinbase, and the CryptoCrap markets are selling?
anonymous2.1y
dark
anonymous2.1y
Bitchat saves messages to the BSV blockchain -> you can find a link to the stored message on the timestamp, like "4 days ago" or whatever
anonymous2.1y
Hello gays
anonymous2.0y
Anyway I came here looking for Pete lol
anonymous2.0y
I play for myself and have no sponsors. I originally came from the BSV community, didn't even touch r/BSV until after r/bitcoincashsv banned me. :P I barely use BSV these days except last week I popped into CoOM to support them against the blizzard trolls. I don't have issues with bitchat, tipstampers, coom, any of pete's apps. I do have issues with other things, like the lawsuits. I really don't care what anyone thinks about that.
anonymous2.0y
also, i'm not marketing anything either. I'm basically just a former active BSV end user. so I'd say neither to your question. :P
anonymous2.0y
This weekend project is Waifubar, which is a chat service. You can chat with your virtual boyfriend, or girlfriend, or ex. Waifubar is here: https://waifubar.net
anonymous2.0y
Waifubar now accepts PayPal payments as well. Previously only HandCash and Centi were supported.
anonymous2.0y
Looks like some of the links in the sidebar are broken, at least BlockPost.network and Retrofeed.me aren't online
anonymous2.0y
Do they have different personalities?
anonymous1.9y
Yes, the AI characters have different personalities. :-)
anonymous1.9y
Nice!
