I am giving out free $DNBTT (Do Not Buy This Token) to the first 500 people that respond with a public key/address

We have not discussed moving UTXO's.
A miner doing so illegally would face serious repercussions.
We are talking about not processing transactions originating from certain public keys.
This is a nuanced discussion prob not easy for 160 chars.
Why?
Miners are private organizations.
If I prove to miner that I own an address, then tell them I no longer control address and ask to freeze coins from moving...
What is the problem?
I don't think I can properly express all of this in Twetches (and threads are difficult to post!)
But the "concern" about using the devs in this way is only because of the concerning nature of the Core devs relationship with control of Bitcoin.
Doesn't it seem like an awfully profitable idea to become a reputable third party that provides an alerting service to miners to freeze addresses?
The value of your alert is inherently tied to your reputation.
It will save a LOT of court time, headache, and costs to freeze the coins ahead of time than to have to salvage them after they have moved.
Imagine in future I had provided proof that I owned the address then made a public declaration that I lost control.
You're thinking too small.
Core IS the BTC ecosystem. That's just a fact. Thus why he is asking for their help (with a formal legal request).
Why would this role be a centralized group of protocol devs in the future?
I'll guess I'll post a thread...
Don't sell them short. These are the maintainers of the Core repo.
If Core starts sending messages that don't make sense, then miners use another repo. Miners don't need to listen to alerts, but if CSW is right then they do need to listen to courts.
He is referring to the devs using the alert key (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Alert_system) to alert miners of the stolen funds.
He's not saying devs should move the coins themselves.
I only know this because he's talked about it in depth on his blogs.
Announcing Veritas - a distributed review verification platform for merchants and applications
Reach out to us if you want to integrate with the Veritas API!
Fun fact - the law that Trump is citing with his current executive order is the law that CSW was arguing would be violated by miners with the introduction of DSV.
Common Carriers vs Publishers.
/trolltoll set @938 $10
What is Paychain?
As for the latter, yes we hope to integrate into other apps. We'll be announcing plans for that soon.
Since I don't own mining equipment, what is the difference between the costly signal of paying matterpool as a costly signal vs paying Baemail/the recipient as a costly signal?

I don't have a good reason other than I want to read it 🙂
But I promise to send a book back!

Must be in New York 😂
Yes it is.
It will get a lot faster, but it is slow for a variety of reasons.
Every review is a special object created in Run called a "jig". We are working on scaling this up.
But yes, this is why we are Alpha software :)
I just returned back home from one of the best two weeks of my life.
Am thankful for everyone I met and the vast amount of ideas and knowledge I have returned with to work on and study.
Optimistic for the future.
I met a crazy number of people in London who said my content brought them towards Bitcoin (BSV).
It was truly humbling, and a reminder that there is plenty of opportunity to educate others in (and out) of this space.
