Very nice. Pines have a venerated position in bonsai. The evergreen nature of them represents immortality.
I'm hoping to add a Japanese black pine to my collection in the future.
Starting seeds can be very tough sometimes! The best tool for germinating seeds is patience.
What are you trying to grow?
I was a bicycle mechanic for about 6 years before becoming the bonsai guy. I used to do a little bit of road and mountain biking. Now I just watch Japanese Keirin and sprint around on my Mercier fixxie :). Welcome to twetch!

That's a lot of bonsai trees...
I'm retired from riding but would be willing to put my helmet on for a good condition RVF400. Hard to find in the US but I see them pop up with grey market sellers from time to time.
why not an NSR500?😁
Bonsai has taught me a lot. It gives me a sense of permanence that few hobbies are able to do. Even if I never have children I plan to pass my trees down to those willing to learn the art. Legacy is not blood; rather the sum of our actions.
Tough but doable with a good cold frame, or a green house with propane heater. 😀
Like your profile pic/name btw. Big fan of the UC gundam timeline spinoffs. (Stardust Memory, 08th MS team, 0080)
Hoping it will! Camellias and Azaleas always seem to have a mind of their own haha. My Quince is the reliable bloomer, and also my favorite :) .I live in zone 8, so getting a good dormancy period is difficult for these.
I'm considering buying a mini fridge and setting it up with a grow light. That why I can give my deciduous bonsai a higher quality dormancy for winter.
My first game was Zelda: A link to the past on the super nintendo.
Have you played the Final Fantasy 7 remake yet?
We just need to import Japanese bees. They have a smug way of dealing with the hornets.
I am always amused by the cat in your comics. :)
