I don't see a lot of actual discussions on Twetch because the economics are broken. But even if they weren't, Troll Toll is such an infectious censorship tool there is that too. Sell Twetch please! The world really needs a medium free of censorship.
The Bitcoin Economist Name and picture from twetch — not on-chain. The signature is; the profile is not.

Bottom line: If I create a thread, no one who has me troll tolled should be able to interfere with the discussion.
If you're a programmer, then maybe you'll know what I mean when I say that the major problem with Troll Toll is the associated "inheritance". A posts. B respondes to A. C responds to B, and has A troll tolled. So A can no longer respond to B. Evil!
Twitter censors. The only reason I am outing Troll Toll as a censorship tool is because I want Twetch to succeed. It's one thing to prevent people from responding to you, but to prevent responses to others. That feature has to go or be fixed!
Troll Toll basically allows people to hijack your thread on the Twetch forum. I start a thread. Joe responds. Jim, who has me troll tolled, responds to Joe. Joe responds to him. I cannot respond to Joe anymore. Effectively, the discussion is hijacked.
You might respond that I can Troll Toll people too. But why would I be a part of the problem. Troll Toll is a censorship tool. Greg Maxwell would love it.
Troll toll is a terrible feature that could possibly kill Twetch. Who gives anyone the fucking authority to prevent me from responding to people who happen to reply to people who have me troll tolled. Particularly ridiculous when I started the thread.
2020 has been a shit show. If Biden wins, you can expect more of the same for 2021. But you can expect to have a much better year than those who live in fear and are too lazy to feel the joy of useful hard work.
Troll tolls infect threads. Clever.
I think what the BoostPOW people fail to understand is they're not going to force Boost on anyone. There's no advantage to using it. Their money will be better spent on a curation system that pays marketers .. which will happen when grownups join Bitcoin.
But the main difference I guess is that BoostPOW people think they're going to get paid. Good luck with that. The marketing funds will be more effectively spent on professional curators that people like and trust.
This may be news to BoostPOW proponents but it's nothing new that individuals and organizations drop a lot of cash to promote their products. Having proof of that with "Boosts" is meaningless.
And this is exactly what is happening with BoostPOW. BoostPOW miners can accumulate proofs of work that they think they can associate to anything by 'Boosting' it. And they think that people will infer something meaningful.
It's embarrassing.
All the BoostPOW are troll tolling me. It's complete cowardice because I am simply pointing out the obvious. Enjoy your echo chamber boys.
The thing about POW is you can't separate the work 'A' from the product created 'B'. It's a logical equivalence A<->B. If you think you can associate A to any B you are deeply confused.
Who has to cheat? All you need is a deeper wallet than those who are competing with you to boost their questions. Organizations will beat individuals 99.9% of the time. It's baffling to me why people don't see that BoostPOW is pay to play concentrated.
That is literally "pay to play". It's not going to hold politicians more accountable .. exactly the opposite. PACs will have no problem ensuring theirs are the questions asked.
If you want to be a truly powerful thinker, be more committed to seeing things accurately than being right. Celebrate being wrong as an opportunity to learn to see things more accurately.
AwakenWithJP is a really funny Youtube channel I recommend for laughs and insight.
I dare say that gold has only been a reserve currency in the past because there was no such thing as a tamper resistant digital cash. If there had been, I'm not so sure Gold would have fared so well. Even silver is more valuable than Gold.
In a Bitcoin based economy, silver will be more valuable than gold. No market manipulation can dominate over actual utility.
If we look back in time, money has changed continually. It has always been necessary to learn what is the best money and obtain that. Those that don't learn this skill are doomed to be poor.
When my mom was alive, I trusted her taste. I never quite accepted mainstream advertising paradigm. I really like that "referral" based world and believe Metanet will bring that to the masses.
Honestly Paychain isn't all that clever. The point of it is to shift the burden of making money from medium providers to content providers and marketers.
In a curation market, classic memes can be huge money makers.
Imagine getting paid for something you posted on Bitcoin 10 years ago. That is the power of a curation market.
Paychain will increase Bitcoin transaction volume and bootstrap a "curation" market wherever its implemented:

If your friends show you only things that you like, you need new friends. You don't want to create an echo chamber in your own life.
Paychain with sticky slots would have people jumping to be the first curator. Because that would mean they would get a piece of every bit of revenue thereafter for that content.
I bought Chat to support Twetch development. If anyone would like to take the opportunity to give me hell, that would be ok. No troll tolls will be forthcoming.
