Imagine if a fraction of that (like $300 mil) actually had to be tied to reality (energy cost) to secure cyber information and mitigate threats.
We spend way more securing the major blockchains and leave nothing to securing sigint, infosec, etc... atm.
Programming is like Space Invaders on the 2600. Constantly pointing and clicking at pixelated creatures and seeing how long you can go without getting blown up.
