So after driving and "working" like settling up every day and grilling for two weeks, my phone doesn't recognize my thumbprint. Guess I was too city before.
Been driving through the US like a knife drives through butter.
"I beat Corona" sung to the tune of "I shot the sheriff." Don't wanna jinx myself though.
Yeah, heard about PCH all of my life. Had to check it out for myself.
No one could have predicted this a month ago. I love how life works in mysterious ways.
As you should be! This has been two weeks at a resort in the California sun. Maybe I'll never leave quarantine.
Yes, I should add that the CDC and other govt agencies working with them have all done quite a lot to make our quarantine more pleasant. As well some local NGOs have donated time and resources for our benefit.
Yeah, I took this as a sign ;) . I resigned my position and will look for work stateside in the near future. I'm sure some will have to do as you say, but most of Wuhan is still currently locked down. Few are going to work.
I watched a few get taken away by ambulance. Most returned. As I understand, there are a few confirmed cases here in San Diego.
The CDC doesn't recommend it, nor are their personnel wearing suits. They have gloves, face shields or masks if getting within 6 feet of a quarantined person. I guess the suits give some peace of mind, like the cleaning crew I mentioned.
With all that said, it only takes one sick person to spread the virus to you, so it's wise to be cautious around others who are high risk (from Wuhan at this time) until enough quarantine time has passed.
I assume just isolated in the hospital.
Generally speaking, I don't think the suits are necessary, especially since most evacuees aren't infected.
However that picture was of a contracted cleaning crew hired to clean our rooms, and if wearing that level of PPE helps them sleep better at night then I'm all for it.
Doing fine. Two more days until freedom.
