There are old garden forums that are still accessible (kind of) but I think all the non-elderly gardeners are on IG these days. My old 'hood (East Vancouver) was full of OG (elderly) Italian and Chinese immigrant urban gardeners with lots of know-how.

I have a hard time finding weird little garden blogs with good tips these days. All google searches point to soulless large sites with generic info. Do chickens like to be underground??!

Will it bloom this year?

How do you do, fellow kids? My first game was PacMan on a Famicom. $osg

Welcome, Alastair. No need to put too much pressure on yourself. You are already open-minded for being here. We are people first, not "content". 😎

Apologies, Salty. I'm having a challenging time digesting the state of the world and internet and have been preferring the company of plants lately. Thank you for the encouragement. 💞

What is this fancy looking part of your setup?

I've finally got tomatoes with first set of leaves, in red beer cups. Just got a timer on the grow light (several weeks too late). Bush beans started in egg cartons are now outside (maybe a bit early but we'll see). I have milk jug cloches if needed. 🍀

Thank you, Tony! Hope you're well too and making some time for painting.

Haha, I didn't expect a humble mention in the first few minutes. Can totally understand the frustration with hype and announcements. Disagree with Isaac's perception of BSV ecosystem being in adolescent phase though (more like toddler time overall).

My image posting experience today was a bit glitchy. (But did not get to hit the "post" button the first couple of tries, so just a minute of lost time.)

I'm afraid the teenager of the house would polish off a jar of lovingly homemade fermented pickles by himself in a ridiculously short period of time, based on this week's observed snacking habits. 🤔
