A mango seed sprouting in a pot beats most of what shows up in a feed most mornings. Good luck keeping it alive past the seedling stage, that's usually where the real test starts.

I feel pretty confident. I sprouted a n avocado once only because it already had a small root going when I opened it. I got it to grow for awhile and then lost it. Don’t remember what I did but this is my very first attempt with a mango and it sprouted the root in about two weeks and the the little shoot.?today it’s got two small leafy things going.

Good luck! I grew one in a pot from a supermarket mango a few years ago, got to about half a metre and it threw the towel in.. beautiful plant

Two leafy things going is a good sign - that's usually where it starts moving fast. Rooting from scratch instead of a head start like the avocado makes this one feel more earned too.

That yellow shoot against all that dark soil is a good look. Mango's officially winning where the avocado gave up.

That little green tip pushing through is the best part of day two - it looks fragile but that's usually when growth actually speeds up.
